33% for Women-Some serious consequences

As I have mentioned in my facebook status, this time I have come up with my views about 33% reservations to women in Parliament. On seeing the title of this topic u might very well think that am a male chauvinist.I don't know whether am one or not :D,but whatever I am typing about this topic are facts which most of them doesn't expose.I don't know what change this 33% for women will bring in society.Even if there are any changes, definitely those changes will do no good for this nation. Why am I opposing this act?

Its simple. In India, women have equal rights as men.The constitution at no point prohibhits women from contesting elections or becoming ministers. But still y this reservation of 33% to women?I thought this bill will never be passed. But now the central govt., has successfully passed it in Rajya Sabha. The govt proclaims passing this bill as a great achievement. All the newspapers carried the news like Congress govt creates history.Actually it should have been like this:"The govt. has committed a historical blunder".But this bill also showed the intentions of some politicians, who purposefully opposed this bill.Who opposed it? It was the Yadav-trio(Laloo Yadav, Sharad Yadav and Mulayam Singh Yadav).Their argument on this bill went too ugly, that head of the Rajya Sabha, honorable Vice President of India,Mr.Hamid Ansari, has adjourned the house several times.

Well now u might raise a question that why I am opposing the Yadav trio?Even am against the 33% reservation and they are also against it.So why should I oppose? The thing is they don't want this bill to be passed in its present format.Their argument is if this bill, passed in its present format, will be beneficial only to elite women and the women from 'suppressed communties(thaazhthapatta samoogam)' will not get the actual benefit. So they are demanding a quota for women belonging to SC/ST,Muslims etc., within this 33%.That is in this 33% a 5% for an X community,3% for Y community and so on.Which means they are demanding a 'quota-within-a-quota'.What to say about these people? Its really disappointing to see likes of Sharad Yadav, being the president of a honest party, doing such acts for the sake of minority votes.

Why they are suddenly demanding a quota for Muslims and Dalits in this 33%? Soon assembly elections r to be held in Bihar,Tamil Nadu,West Bengal etc.Eyeing the Muslim votes in these states they are demanding for a quota within this bill.Ofcourse, our honorable CM,Dr.Kalaignar has extended his full support to this bill.Infact Mrs.Sonia Gandhi, has praised him that,it was all bcoz of DMK and the TN CM,this bill was successfully passed in Rajya Sabha. So he is an exception here. One might wonder, how a pro minority CM like Dr.Kalaignar, supported the bill in its present format. He badly needs the alliance of congress :-).That is the only reason, for its unconditional support by ADMK too(she too wants to become an ally of congress).Behen Ji(Ms.Mayawati),Dhidhi Ji(Ms.Mamtha Banerjee) has opposed this bill.Reason-simple.Still Mulayam Singh is free and the centre has not gone against him,so Mayawati Ji is against this bill.Y Dhidhi Ji is not supporting this?Because, her principle opposition Communists are supporting this bill. The irony is that Women's reservation bill is not supported by many women in politics.

Had these people protested against passing this bill, saying that there should not b any quota for women,I myself would have supported them.Thats alright, lets discuss the other aspects. If there is one person, who boldly opposed this bill, its none other than the veteran journalist,Mr.Cho Ramasamy.I am really glad that,I could see atleast one bold journalist :-).Hats off Mr.Cho.

India is a country where women are respected and worshipped. We use the word 'mother' for every good thing here.Mothertongue('Thaimozhi'),Motherland('Thaiboomi') etc.. We worship so many Ammans,Durga Devi,Lakshmi Devi,Saraswathi Devi etc. If one is an atheist or non-Hindu,still no probs,he/she will have the same amount of respect for his/her mother. In India ladies special trains are being conducted.Even in MTC buses there are more than 50% of seats reserved for ladies :D.And there only men suffer, bcoz as per the law,men should not seat in ladies seats, but there is no such thing called gents seats in buses or gents compartment in trains(while there are so many ladies compartments).

I bet u in no other country women can get this much of respect or privileges.Ofcourse some male chauvinists are there.Still women get much respect and equal opportunity here.In this same country Indira Gandhi became the Prime Minister. Even now so many female CMs are there like Mayawati or Sheila Dikshit and not to forget our president is also a female. So my million dollar question is, when the constitution doesn't stop women from becoming a PM or CM or President, why do u need a reservation?

If it is made mandatory that 33% of MPs has to be women candidates, this will only pave way for nepotism(family rule). If a candidate has a lot of respect and votes in an area, only his wife or sisters wil be given a seat.Like how the congress,in the name of bringing in youngsters brought in the heirs of famous politicians(Agatha Sangma-daughter of P.A.Sangma,Supriya Sule-daughter of Sharad Pawar,Rahul Gandhi-son of Rajiv Gandhi).Like how Laloo made his wife a CM when he was stripped of the CM post. So, obviously, this bill spoils the chances of genuine women candidates. The govt argues that this will help more women to actively participate in politics. For that no need of reservation. Its enough if the govt creates an awareness about politics to women.

Its enough if it conducts elections honestly. In the last parliamentary election one candidate was lagging behind by atleast 5000 votes until the last round of counting. But at the end of the counting,he was declared the winner. Now he is a minister and he is from TN.If elections raise such suspicions, its quite natural that women(not only women, normal innocent people) will fear to enter politcs.

If u think that if women gets the power, there will not be this much atrocities, slap urself and say "I am wrong :D".Recently one lady was making news for wearing a garland(that garland was made up of 1000 rupee notes, amounting to a total of around 5Crore). She is a CM of one of the Indian states. There was also a news in dailies that, her partymen brutally killed one engineer, just because he has not given money for her(CM's) birthday celebrations(ada oru software engineer nelamaya pathingala ya :( ).One lady abused the Bihar CM with rubbish words during 2009 Parliament elections. She was a former CM.One lady, when her victory in her constituency was declared invalid, declared emergency in India, fearing that she could not win in the election again(source: some newspapers). She was former PM of India. One former lady CM's house was captured in a video and a popular tv(as if this channel is a honest one :D) channel telecasted it,showing what a luxurious life she was living.

This is the condition of women politicians. So u can infer that there is no difference between the male and the female politicians right?

My honest opinion. This 33% reservation to women is an insult to women and the nation itself.According to Indian constitution all the MPs,MLAs,ministers,CMs,PM, President etc can  be women.Nothing prohibhits women from attaining the power. The girls and women should actively participate in politics.I have seen so many girls, saying "oh!!!politics,I hate it.Its full of violence and culprits".I asked a gal to name some culprits and asked the reason for calling them as culprits. She named some culprits(they r really culprits only :D),but she didn't know the reason. This is the case with some elitist mentality guys too

One more thing, this bill has to be passed in Lok Sabha too. Then only its impact can be seen.I am praying god that this bill should not be passed in Lok Sabha. The principle opposition party,BJP,has played it smart by not opposing the bill completely. They have asked for a debate in Parliament over this bill. But has given a strict NO to any quota within this bill. It was because the BJP supported this bill, the govt was able to pass it in Rajya Sabha. The BJP wanted to get this image and it got it.I would have been much happy, had BJP openly opposed this bill.Anyway, when president of the congress party,Mrs.Sonia Ji,wants to project herself as a winner in passing this so called historical bill, there is nothing wrong with Sushma Swaraj or Arun Jaitley in playing such a smart politics.

So girls and ladies, please don't get satisfied with 33%,constitution gives u more, participate in public activities in large numbers.Come on friends, let us all join together and oppose this act :D.

Reservation-Quota systems in India

Hello friends.. Am back with a controversial topic.. I think this is the first time am blogging about such a controversial topic.. Actually I thought of giving a miss to this topic.. But things going around has made me to write an article about the reservation system in India.. I am not going to change anything by writing blogs about reservation, but to just to vent out my anger am doing this. Ofcourse I might get into some embarrassing situation with this blog, but still just wanted to go for it.. So what’s my take on reservations? The pic which I have included clearly gives the answer for this question.

Yes.Am not against reservations. But am against giving reservations to those who doesn’t deserve it. Why this concept of reservation was started? Its purely because of the fact that, once, the rights of some communities were suppressed by some of the ‘so called’ upper caste people. Only for the upliftment of these people, Dr.B.R.Ambedkar framed the constitution with reservations for the backward communities. The main goal behind this reservation is that every individual should get equal opportunities. If the reservations has been implemented properly, by this time most of the people from tribal areas, backward communities etc should be leading a better life(if not a comfortable life). And the % of reservation should have gone down gradually. But that didn’t happen and instead the % of reservation grew up gradually and it seems it will continue to grow.

All that am saying is the creamy layer should be chopped. What is creamy layer? This creamy layer denotes the people who has enjoyed the benefits of reservation and who r in a position to look after themselves(i.e., they,no more needs the govt to take care of themselves). How this reservation spoils the chances of the deserving people? Let us consider a family, which belongs to OBC category. The husband is an Engineer, the wife is a doctor. Now that their son wants to join medicine, but he has not scored enough marks to get it in general category. So his community comes into picture and he can get a seat in OBC quota. He has enough marks for that. Is this not spoiling the chances of others? If he has not got enough marks to get medicine means,he should have chosen any other field for which he is eligible or he should have bought it,I mean got it by paying money.

Don’t think am too harsh on him.The reason y am saying like this is,he is neither socially nor economically backward. But he couldn’t score enough marks purely because of his incompetency.Giving quotas to such people will degrade our standard(education, jobs etc).He is indirectly spoiling the chances of another OBC student and also reducing the seat in general category. I have seen people missing out seats in reputed Indian univs,by 1 mark,1/2 mark etc in general category. So according to me,this creamy layer should be chopped.

Then, nowadays there is another issue making news everywhere. That is increasing quotas to backward communities in all religions. The AP govt, under late,Mr.YSR, announced 4% reservation for Muslims. But the AP High Court, rejected this and said there is no provision in law to provide reservations based on religion. Once again the AP govt announced quotas to some communities belonging to Islam, stating that they are socio-economically backward.Once again the Supreme Court rejected it.But now it(Supreme Court) has given a go ahead for this law temporarily and has referred this case to a constitutional bench. So the final verdict is yet to come, but until it comes this can be implemented.

Another similar announcement in West Bengal. The govt, under Mr.Buddhadeb Bhattacharya, has again announced quotas for Muslims, which again if challenged in court, will be rejected. Because, till now there is no provision in our constitution to provide reservation based on religions. And not to forget, our man, Dr.Kalaignar, our honorable CM,is also facing one such issue. The thing is some days back there was a dharna by Dalits of Christianity in TN. They want the reservation to be given to Dalits belonging to all religions. So our CM,has written letter(as usual) to our PM,regarding this. But what’s the problem in this?

The thing is,again Mr.Ambedkar, allocated this reservation purely based on socio-economic background. It is only in Hindu religion, the varnasrama concept of Brahmana,Kshatriya,Vaisya and Suthra existed. So only in Hinduism,a particular group of people where suppressed of any rights. But there is no such Varnasram concept in Islam or Christianity. So, a person, who will be grouped under SC/ST,when he is a Hindu, will be grouped under OBC only,if he gets converted to anyother religion.FYKI, reservation already exists for other religions too,but under OBC.

I want to make a question here. The Christian Missionaries converts illiterates,Dalits etc from Hinduism, only with the assurance that they won’t be treated badly and there is no untouchablity in Christianity. They also provide assurance that these people will be provided with a good job, education etc. So it obviously means that the status of these people gets elevated once they get converted to other religions. So again why u people are protesting for reservations? Most of the people know only Mr.Periyar(Mr.E.V.Ramasamy,honorably called as Periyar) as an atheist.Yes he was.But I have come across some of his principles in a book.In that he has clearly mentioned that the untouchablity should be abolished in Hinduism.Otherwise people will use this as an advantage and convert these ‘so called untouchables’ to some other religion, which is a grave threat to our nation. I strongly support this. Both untouchablity and forceful conversion is a shame and crime.

But one thing,if someone after reading Bible or Quran or Bhagavad Gita, impressed by its principles, wants to follow that particular religion means, there is nothing wrong in it.Its the individual’s own right.

Let’s come back to reservation. Now there is a comedian(hey he is really a comedian only) who is praising our CM for his personal benefits, says that he is the representative of Brahmins and he says that even Brahmins should get reservation. How did he suddenly become savior of Brahmins?God knows the reason.A reservation for Brahmin community will again end up in misery.Again the creamy layer will enjoy all the benefits. So what Mr.S.Ve.Sekhar says is utter nonsense.I don’t support this.

So the protest is going on. A commission set up by the govt., headed by former chief justice of India,Mr.Ranganath Mishra has recommended 10 per cent reservation for Muslims and five per cent for other minorities in government jobs and favoured Scheduled Caste status for Dalits in all religions.I don’t know whether this is also possible according to law. Who knows our politicians, who wants to project themselves as the saviors of Muslims/Christians might alter the law itself and might make this possible.

But in my honest opinion, the political parties are playing this reservation issue to woo Muslims and Christians. Purely votebank politics.

But as a responsible citizen of India,I am not ok with this. Now people might think that am writing all these stuff since I was a victim of reservation. If u think so u r wrong.I have never been a victim of reservation and I believe I will never be.Yes u r right,I am grouped under OC.But am just expressing my thoughts on quotas. I myself have seen a person who got converted to Christianity due to unbearable torture in the name of untouchablity and he has given in writing that his son/daughter doesn’t need any reservation, as he is a doctor and is well enough to take care of his child. Hats off Doctor.

If the quotas r really meant for the upliftment of the backward people, the creamy layer should be chopped.Again a new census should be taken and the report of how many % of people r still badly in need of the reservation must tabled in Supreme Court. Based on this new report, the quotas should be given. I believe only because some people were not given equal opportunities they couldn’t succeed in their life. If they get opportunity, they will win. And caste is no bar for achieving. I believe god created everyone with equal talent and knowledge.

So acc to me this reservation should reach the deserving people and people should come forward themselves to renounce the quotas, once they get a better life. And the reservation should b given based on economic background(and again enough care should be taken to c that people doesn’t project themselves as poors for the sake of quotas).

Note: In some places I have referred to some people as Dalits,’so called untouchables,so called upper caste,so called suppressed community’ etc.I don’t have anything to do with these names. Since in society they are called that way,I’m forced to use these words and I have no other option to highlight them. And if this article hurts anyone or if anyone feels that am against u,kindly ignore it,thinking that this is a worthless article. My intention is not to hurt anyone, just expressing my opinion.

Angadi Theru-Movie Review

Cast : Mahesh,Anjali,Pandi,A.Venkatesh,Pazha.Karuppayya
 Director:Vasanthabalan
Music: Vijay Antony, G V Prakash Kumar
Lyrics : Na.Muthukumar
Cinematography : Richard M Nathan

Hello everyone.. Am back with a movie review again.Actually I didn't want to post movie reviews in this blog. But this movie has made me to post a review again. So what made me to post reviews again? It is nothing but the realistic portrayal of the lives of the sales people.I guess this movie is mainly targeted at Saravana Stores.Sneha has also given a special appearance in this movie. Oh no, its quite a co-incidence that I wrote Saravana Stores name and Sneha’s name in the consecutive lines, nothing intentional :D. Lets discuss about the movie.

The movie starts of with the hero-heroine doing some mischives.Later on it moves to flashback. Jothilingam(Mahesh) comes from a poor family and due to circumstances he works as a sales person in Senthil Murugan stores,a famous textile shop in Ranganathan street,T Nagar, with his friend Pandi,Kana Kanum Kalangal fame Pandi. There he meets Kani(Anjali) and falls in love with her. The way both fall into love has been portrayed quite naturally by the director. The movie is all about how these kind of sales people, are treated in the shop by the concerned authorities. Director A.Venkatesh and my favorite writer Pazha.Karuppayya have acted as villains. Venkatesh, who is called as Karunkaali by the workers, has simply rocked in that role as a ruthless supervisor. Pazha.Karuppayya, the Annachi, resembles a popular shop in T Nagar, especially when he comments about Sneha’s saree, when the ad film was being shot :D.

These villains torture everyone working there and the sales people are treated like slaves. One girl even commits suicide for loving a guy in that shop, due to Karunkaali. That much cruel person he is. So how he troubles the lead pair and how they escape from this shop and what kind of difficulties they face and how they overcome these difficulties is the story precisely. What really keeps us tied with this movie is that the realistic portrayal and excellent dialogues(Kudos to Jayamohan). The best part of the movie is that it shows different kinds of people, suffering in many ways, but still prefers to work and doesn’t beg. For example, one person keeps on asking everyone to give him a job. None responds him, but an old lady gives him some money to buy food. This person refuses to get that money. Instead he gets some water and cleans ugly the public toilet and does some minimal decoration to it. After that he sits outside the toilet and collects money from people for using it. Then he is shown as living a better life.

Another excellent scene that got standing ovation from audience is that, a dwarf man gets disappointed when his new born child is also dwarf like him whereas his wife feels happy for it. When questioned she says, “I have been sweeping in this street along this person only,if the child is not dwarf people will question the legitimacy of the fatherhood of this child. But now none will question”. Like there are lot of good scenes in the movie.

Coming to Mahesh, the hero, a new face , he has done an excellent job. His acting doesn’t look like a debutant at all. Great, keep it up :-). And Anjali too has played her girl-next-door kind of role perfectly. Other artistes like Sophiya,Pandi, an old man selling remote covers in platform and even Sneha :D and everyone else has been given equal importance and they have done justice to their roles.

There is space for comedy too. The scene in which Lingu narrates his love experience with Ashwini is a hilarious one.

Music is good. Aval appadi ondrum azhagillai song is too pleasant to hear and it was also picturized nicely. Un perai Ketkumpothe song is an excellent melody and Shreya Ghosal and Naresh Iyyer’s voices makes it too sweet.BGM is also nice. Vijay Antony and G V Prakash has handled the music, both have done a neat job, though songs composed by Vijay Antony is better than GV. Na.Muthu Kumar again proves that he is the common man’s lyricist. The naïve and innocent lyrics like aval appadi ondrum color illai aanal athu oru kurai illa, aval uduthum udayum pidikkavillai irunthum gavanikka marukka villai, shows what a clean thinker he is.Again in the song Kannil Theriyum Kaalam Kayyil varatha,he stresses on mechanical life of people and the dreams and desires of a common man. One can even say that Muthukumar is the best lyricist in current generation.

Camera man Richard M Nathan deserves a special mention here. We all might have gone to T Nagar. We all know about the kind of rush in Ranganathan Street. It is not easy to even walk. But this man has shot the scenes, that too with hidden cameras. This is no mean task to achieve and his camera work is outstanding in this movie.

All said and done, the best thing in this movie is, it has shown the people with lot of negatives(I mean difficulties, due to nature and circumstances) in a positive light. None of the characters loses its confidence and till the end they fight for a decent living. At the same time I was really moved to tears when I realized how difficult is the life of people working in Saravana Stores or Sankarapandiyan Stores. The movie says all the characters and dialogues are fictitious. But it doesn’t look like a fiction. It is a movie about people whom we come across daily but hardly get noticed.

Vasanthabalan stands tall with such versatile movies(though he has done just 3 movies).Vasanthabalan is Kollywood’s Usanthabalan.

Those who read this review, please ask all ur friends and relatives to watch this movie. In theater today there were hardly 100 people. Such movies should become a huge hit at Box Office. Then only more such practical and honest movies will come in Tamil. Otherwise, if only mindless masala movies are becoming hit means, A.Venkatesh, who has done a superb job as a villain in this movie, will keep on torturing us by releasing 4 Arun Vijay and Sarath Kumar movies every 6 months.(Not only him, just for ex I told his name). Take my words, this is a must watch movie :-)

Verdict : Exceptionally well made

Rating : 4/5

Ajith Kumar-The "Asal" Hero

Hello everyone. This time am going to blog about 'Thala' Ajith Kumar.Probably for the first time am blogging something about him.First of all I have to admit one thing that am a huge fan of Thala Ajith(People who know me personally know this, but still I don't want to pretend to be a neutral, thats the reason for this information in the beginning itself). On seeing the title you might think that am going to write about his latest release Aasal. This article has nothing to do with that movie. On seeing the picture itself you might have understood this is all about his speech at the felicitation function for Kalaignar.I mean the one organized by the South Indian film industry, why am saying this, you should not get confused as daily one group is felicitating our CM and he too is kind enough to allot time for all these things inspite of his busy(??) schedule.

So what did Ajith speak? Why such a huge chaos happening about him in Tamil Cinema?Ananda Vikatan,Junior Vikatan,Nakheeran,Dinamalar,Dinathanthi etc.. every he is making headlines.Even in Thuglak Ajith's name is getting lot of importance? What did he do like that? The answer is simple. He spoke the truth honestly. As you all know being honest in TN,especially in Cinema or Politics is a great sin,he is targetted by a bunch of jokers. In that function,at first he too like others, praised CM.Then he started speaking certain facts which is unusual for an artiste in TN to speak. What really shocked me is he spoke these things in front of Mr.Karunanithi.This is what he said:

There are some people in cinema industry, who are in some important posts, organize meetings for political and sensitive issues, even before the govt reacts. They are also threatening the actors to attend such meetings. If we are not attending the same means, our loyalty and integrity as Tamils is questioned. We are tired of these things and only you(CM) can put a fullstop for all these things.

This shocked almost every individual in that auditorium and as you all know,Rajni gave a standing ovation for this speech by Ajith. For these speech lot of responses are coming until even this moment. Many actors are praising Ajith for speaking out this openly as they couldn't do the same due to some pressure. On the other hand some people started targetting Ajith for this.As he said, one stuntman(Jacquar Thangam, many might not have heard abt him till now :D) has started shouting that he is anti-Tamil.They,using their political influence are planning to sideline Ajith from cinema industry itself.Over emotional persons like Barathiraja started bashing Ajith. Now Ajith is paying the price for being honest.

Alright, lets see who is Jacquar? This Jacquar is the same stuntman who faced allegations of trying to misbehave with an actress who asked a chance to act in movies. The actress name is Anamika. She has reportedly asked a chance to him to act in movies. This fellow has taken advantage of it and tried to misbehave with her.Anamika told these things to media(and this is not my imagination). She also alleged that after she told this incident to media, this Jacquar even threatened to finish off her life. This issue came in almost all media and a popular show in Vijay tv called Kadavul Paathi Mirugam paathi made a huge mockery of this event. Now he says actors should act with social consciousness.Great.

What social consciousness means to such people? To organize a stage, speak some nonsense in the name of Tamilism, finally ending up with egg on their face.I would like to recall some incidents, which can be called an example for the SOCIAL CONSCIOUSNESS of these legends. In the month of April,2008,the same Tamil Cinema actors association staged a protest against the Karnataka govt and the Kannadigas for not allowing us to use the Hogenakkkal water for a power project. The same gentleman Sarath Kumar lead the protest, same Rajni,Kamal,Ajith,Vijay etc all have attended it.Rajni spoke bit harshly and said should we not beat those people who are creating problems(odhakka vendama).Rajni's posters were burnt in Karnataka.Later on after some 4 months,Rajni appologised for what he has spoken(he dint do any mistake, but he appologised, acc to me that appology is only the mistake).

Alright what has happened to that project?Within a week after the actors staged a protest, our CM casually gave this statement:Since elections are to be conducted in Karnataka soon,we are postponing this project for now and the same will be resumed after a new govt is formed. My question is doesn't he know that elections are going to be conducted in Karnataka before the actors' protest?A new govt under Yediyurappa was formed in Karnataka and after that a Parliament election also has been conducted successfully and now the govt is going on successfully there. But the project is yet to take off.

So what the actors achieved by staging a protest for this issue?Simple. Sarath Kumar got good publicity.Rajni's Kuselan movie suffered huge loss at BO.Ofcourse its a crap movie and deserved to be a flop, but generally in any movie,if Rajni makes his appearence means, that movie will take a huge opening. But,in this case of Kuselan,it didn't even get a reasonable opening in TN.This is mainly because of his apology. No wonder Rajni clapped when Ajith was speaking.

Another incident that can be taken as an ex: for our actors social consciousness is the fasting organized to condemn attacks on Tamils in Sri Lanka. The actors went on a fasting.Again emotional outbursts were there. The actors donated lakhs and lakhs of rupees for the cause of Lankan Tamils.I don't know where did all these money go.I don't know whether this money reached the Tamil people or Sinhalese army.I don't know that. But what happened in the end?

Our CM also went on fasting. At this age he went on fasting.Great na?See what kind of fasting it was.(This news is from some popular weekly magazines)He had his break fast and started fasting around 9 or 9.30 AM and ended his fasting before lunch and had lunch. What an idea sir ji!!!.The reason he gave was,the SL govt agreed for ceasefire. But they(SL army) continued the war and we all know the end result too.So again what did actors achieve through this protest?Instead of shouting some nonsense in mic before public, its better to adopt few affected Tamil people.Actor Surya, has adopted some children and taking care of their studies, food and shelter through Agaram foundation it seems(I don't have newspaper proof for this, one SL Tamil leader told this in Z Tamil channel).Hats off Mr.Surya!.Remember,anyday helping hands are better than praying lips(or even shouting lips).

So anyway the govt is going to take a different action and the words of these artistes is not at all going to have any value. So why you are forcing/threatening those who are not willing to participate in such events? One can raise his voice against anyone/anything,thats his own right. At the same time none should be compelled to do anything as refraining from such things is their own right.

Now things are going in a different route.Sarath Kumar and Jacquar are playing the caste card in this issue it seems.Jacquar claims that Ajith fans assaulted his wife and his house as per the orders of Ajith. If Ajithfans assaulted him means they wont go in such a small number. They would have gathered in huge number and the consequences might have been even more severe.

Anyway, today the unions(FEFSI,South Indian actors union etc) have decided to demand an apology from Ajith for speaking the truth in public(speaking truth is a crime in TN Mr.Ajith,u have to understand this). As far as I have understood about Ajith,he will not apologise and all.But time and situation might force him to do so.That doesn't matter. He has spoken his heart out before a huge crowd,in front of a responsible leader(namma CM than pa).

One might like Ajith,or hate Ajith thats different. But if u analyse this issue properly and unbiasedly you will understand what he has spoken is 100% correct.

People like Jacquar or Sarath Kumar or Guhanathan will not be remembered by public.Their fame(they got this fame itself thru this incident only,Sarath Kumar is an exception in this regard) is short lived. But Thala Ajith will be remembered forever for his bold and beautiful speech in the presence of Mr.Kalaignar.

Hats off Thala!!!(Thala Pola Varuma :-))

Note : All the political news and cinema news I have written is a collection from newspapers and weekly magazines like Ananda Vikatan,Junior Vikatan,Thuglak etc.So don't hold me responsible if this hurts anyone,I owe responsiblity to whatever I have written about Thala alone.

Valentine's Day-Something to think

Hello everybody..This time again back with a kind of happy(infact gujaal) topic. But this(love) is a kind of happiness which at times can make one even mad.Infact most of the times it makes people mad, anyway thats a different story,as this topic is not about love in general, but its all about Valentine's day.So what shall we discuss about V'day?A lot can be discussed.

Tomorrow the entire nation will celebrate the V'day as if its a national festival.People belonging to all regions/religions will celebrate it with unity.Sales of plastic roses will hit its peak.Already in most of the shops lot of guys and girls are standing in ques to buy greeting cards and roses.I can hear some mind voice from the readers "what the hell is this fella's prob if they exchange roses and cards"?..I don't have any probs, but still... :P.

Nowadays this valentine's day has really become a threat to many lovers. Why you know?Their major concern is "whether my partner will give rose to me alone or to my friends also".People are in that much DEEP LOVE.But there is also another major worry for them.Whats that u know? They will be very much scared to go to parks or beaches tomo, coz some Sena(Ram Sena,Shiv Sena and some more insane senas) activists might attack them.Till that attack on girls in mangalore pubs,I was of the opinion that its too difficult to save our culture from people who involve all sort of stupidities in the name of love. But now I think its even more difficult to save this nation from these kind of lunatics.

What this senas does is,they will simply assault people who are sitting as pairs in parks/beaches etc,if they are not married. They will force them to marry.Sometimes some relatives/friends also might have an outing. So u will also make them marry huh? If the sena continues this, then people will take it as an advantage.Everyone who wants to marry will sit in pairs in beaches and parks and as usual the sena will make them marry. Finally the Sena, which is doing all these atrocities in the name of protecting the culture, will be made as a broker(ungala intha area mama nu solvanga :D).Too much of moral policing will result in adverse effects. This is not the way to change the society. But that doesn't mean that pub culture/valentine day dating etc are all right.

Parks/beaches/zoos even college canteens are occupied by people who project themselves as lovers. The atrocities committed by these people are no less than what the sena did.Sometimes it becomes unbearable.Only way to avoid such nonsense is the parents should keep an eye on their children. They have to make it sure that their children are choosing the right path. The media which projects this valentine's day as a great event should realize that it is a grave threat to our culture. There is one Tamil tv channel,a SECULAR TV channel. That channel will telecast special programs on all festive occassions. For Diwali,Pongal,Ganesh Chathurthi etc, they will term the special programs as holiday special programs(vidumurai thina sirapu nigazhchigal). But for Valentine's day they are advertising it as "Kathalar thina sirappu nigazhchi".They will tell this as sixth sense(pagutharivu). That tv channel is nothing but Kalaignar tv.These things should be stopped first.

For those who are in love I just have this simple question to you.Do you people really need feb14th as a val day?According to me for true lovers each and every day is special and for them every day is lover's day only. You can exchange roses daily. If u want to celebrate any day as a special occassion means, why not it be the day on which your love became successful? If u start following this na,stupids who take advantage of this feb14 and do all sorts of nonsense, will not be able to do it any more. I am not against lover or lovers, but for that reason I cant tolerate these kind of atrocities in the name of love.

Again I am able to hear some mind voice."This fellow is unable to get into a relationship with any girl, who will like him,if he tortures with these kind of speeches. For that reason he is mocking us".Ya I am not into any relationships :P,but still whatever I have typed is true and they are facts.According to me this valentine day celebration is a grave threat to our culture(kalachara seerazhivu). And one of my friend has told this small encouraging one liner to me regarding love, which I would like to share with you all here:

"Machan Nithya kedakkalanna Dhivya da"(if not  nithya then approach Dhivya).

Cellular Phones-The 6th finger

Hello friends. This time I want to blog about something without which nowadays life is too difficult for many(including me..).All of a sudden everyone started using cellphones. How?Thanks to reliance. They sold cellphones for Rs.150/-.Even we bought one reliance phone. After that gsm mobiles became too popular and finally today we are having billings at 1p/sec and 29p/min.What actually all are doing with this cellphone?Thats what I am planning to describe in this post.

Long back I was living in Pondicherry. It was at that time, the reliance phones were selling hot cakes. If I see someone talking in cell phones while walking in the road,I used to ask them "Sir u r hearing commentary only na,whats the score now".They will stare at me.I did this because I dint have a cell phone at that time,so I wanted to mock others who were having it.[how kind natured person am I right?].Then I too got a motorola phone.

Different people use cell phones for different purposes. For instance,a govt servant[preferrably working in banks],will leave his home by 10 'o' clock. He will call his wife by 12 'o' clock and tell maragatham saaptiya, naa saapten, more kozhambu super[I have finished my lunch, how abt u,lunch super],as if he had not eaten lunch before and all.Comedy fellas :D.This is one group.

Another group is ours, school kids and college students. The thing is this is becoming a great problem in society.See how our people are using mobile phones.Suddenly you will get an sms,"hi this Haritha, howz u",immediately our guys will think haritha, per kettale super figure nu thonuthu[on hearing name itself,it seems she will look awesome].It means he dont know that person before, but he will start flirting.Be careful guys, that Haritha might be one of your friends who is a male,as my friend and I have used this name Haritha and mocked many guys at the end.Infact my CLOSE FRIEND will never forget the name SriLakshmi Priya.

But nowadays, mostly, college guys and girls started using mobile phones purely for flirting. Ofcourse there are exceptions too,[like me B-)].Anyway,this is how people flirt:

Boy :"hey di chellam, finished dinner ah"

Girl : "no ma,mum is yet to prepare"

Boy: "oh..u feeling hungry ya yaar?"

Girl: "no da bujju kutti, jus now had snacks"

How about the above conversation?Blood boils right? This is just a sample. But what to do,our guys want some entertainment,so they flirt with any available girl and the girls use technical terms like "bujjukutty,ammukutty,amulbaby"etc..I hate this :x.

Another type of torture is there in cell phones.Privacy and peaceful life is difficult. If at all you are in love with a girl or boy, thats all.He/she will keep on calling his/her partner and ask,"where are u?who are all with u?why u went there?why u dint inform me?"paa..lot of questions right?Another type of torture is also there. We might be in a deep sleep. At that time(may be around 2 A.M.), we may get a call from our work place. They will tell some problem,u have to do it now. What I can do at that time?Stupid fellows, they too know this, but still will call us,barbaric people :D.

Even worse, one day one of my friend called me at 12.30 A.M and was scolding some Ajith movie[am an Ajith fan and he is Vijay fan :D].What can I tell to him at that time, that too I was in deeeep sleep.Very interesting incident right ?:D.

Jokes apart,be careful with cell phones.Nowadays cell phones are responsible for most of the problems in society. The film producers are spending crores and crores of money and making a movie. If that movie releases in net, even before hitting the screens, think the situation of that producer. How this happens? An insider captures the movie using his 3.2 mega pixel[for ex] camera phone and releases it in net.If we download that movie, the site may get some money. This money will not go to Sivananda Gurukulam or any other orphanges, instead it will go into the hands of terrorists or any other anti social elements.

Also several scandals are being released in net because of this camera phoneThis  happens not only to cinema actress alone, but also to school kids and college students too.Delhi MMS scandal is a best example for this.Whoever u might be,be it a hero/heroine,school/college student, politician,no matter,u can be caught in camera. So always,be careful, instead if we try to live a moral life itself,70% of these problems can be avoided[but our cinema stars and politicians will not :-( ].

We cant, just like that, ban camera phones and all,but we have to be careful with people using them.At the end of the day,its our smartness, that will protect us.Parents and elders in the home must make it sure that, their son or daughter is matured enough to use mobile phones, before allowing them to use.

But apart from all the above said negatives, cellphones are extremely useful most of the time.If u want to contact anyone during emergency situations,u cant be searching for a 1 rupee coin std booth :D.For example, imagine that you are travelling in a train and u r caught by Railway police for travelling in ladies compartment :P,u cant ask the policeman to give his phone[ketta sangu oodhiduvan].U can send a SMS from your mobile to your friend,so that he can help you.

Or imagine u r caught by traffic police for not wearing helmet  and its midnight 12 'o' clock and that he is demanding a 100rs from you[Vasool mannanache ivanunga than].At that time also if u dont have a 100 means u can call ur friend using your cellphone :D.

So use cell phones properly and be careful.Just wanted to blog something, thats the only reason for this topic :D.Give your valuable comments :-).

Honesty-No such file or folder

Hello everybody..Today I wanted to blog about an important quality thats almost vanishing everywhere.Ofcourse,u might have found out whats that on seeing the topic itself.Yes,its honesty only. Why such a title?Because I am computer science student na,thats why.

You can very well question me,in which fields am finding dishonesty. The point I wish to make here is am unable to find honesty anywhere nowadays. If at all a person lives honestly,he is branded as "Fool, stupid, idiot,Mental" or "Useless fellow(in Tamil "pozhakka theriyathavan").Honesty is not only meant for policemen or politicians alone, but also to each and every single individual.I was talking with one of my close friends. He was telling how intelligently he cheated the restaurant owner. He told me that the waiter gave him a bill for Rs.47/-,for which he has kept Rs.50.But the waiter has given him Rs.53 as balance. The waiter thought that he gave Rs.100.I asked him y dint he return the 50,for which he gave a strange answer. He said that it is the mistake of the waiter and not his'.He went on to say that they will realize their mistake, only if we do like this one or two times.

I scolded him that his' was a bad attitude, for which he proudly replied me,"see I have punished the waiter for his mistake. But I never failed to recognize his service. So I gave him the balance Rs.3/- as tips to him"[ambuttu nallavanaa da nee].

See,how noble youngman is he.Not only this fellow,I have encountered many such experiences from people. The waiter had made a mistake.Agreed.But u r a nice person right? Why dont you give back his money to him?

If at all you go to any govt office to get your work done means,u cannot go without a minimum of 1000 rupees(max amt depends on the work to be done). If u think that I'm mentioning about RTO office alone,u r wrong. All govt sectors has become like this.Starting from RTO office to police stations to hospitals all have become corrupt, though some of the exceptional cases[I mean pozhakka theriyathavans] are there.

But u cant question the honesty of our traffic constables. They are the most honest people in Tamil Nadu. One of my friends was having license and all other documents related to his bike.He was going in ECR road.A PC stopped him and asked for documents first. He showed all the documents to him. Then the policeman said,"documents are ok,but u have crossed the speed limit. Are u ready to pay the fine in court?".This fellow asked him, what needs to be done.Policeman asked him to pay Rs.100 and go.But that PC was a good man.He told my friend to take a different route from there and also told him that  in the next signal also a Policeman will be there,u just tell him that u paid to me,he will leave you.See how helpful he is[but unga nerma enakku pidichirrku].

So,u have seen a corrupt PC.Now if u r a rules Ramanujam[:P],what u will do?U will go to court right? Now let us see the situation of justice in India. There is a Judge in Karnataka. His name is Dinakaran[Dinakarannaale problem thana :P].There are allegations that he has grabbed lands worth several crores illegally. After this issue broke out, some politicians started protesting that he should be removed and strict action must be taken against him.Obviously those politicians belong to opposition parties[both in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha].According to our law, there is no provision to even suspend an errant judge.Only way to remove them is by means of impeachment[i.e.,2/3 MPs in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha should vote against that judge].But for that we need ruling party MPs also to vote right? What the ruling party says?Lets see.

The congress MPs started playing caste politics in this. Now they are saying that, this Dinakaran is being victimised only because he is from a socially supressed community. What if he is from that community? Is there any rule that we should not punish ppl belonging to certain communities?FYI,Mr.Paul Diwakar Dinakaran has got converted Christianity long back.So there is no point in calling him a Dalit first of all.But still our central govt calls him that way.Yeah,I can understand ur thoughts.U r asking about our state govt right? Our CM also has supported Dinakaran and also told that just because he is from a suppressed community, charges are framed against him. What else u can expect from him?

The thing is under the Right To Information act, even judges has to reveal their property details to public.Till now very few judges came forward and revealed their property details. The first person to do so is Justice K Kannan of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, who is from Tamil Nadu.Till now I think the only person to do so.Proud of him B-).In contrast the Supreme Court is not ready to accept this and they doesnt want to make their assets public. This is the situation of judges and JUSTICE(?) in India.

Next, our honorable leaders.I know this space is not at all enough to describe their noble deeds. But still we should not spare anyone.Newspapers and media claim that,in Tamil Nadu,in the last parliamentary elections, one person,a central minister, has contributed Rs.600 Crores to his party for the elections and that party won more no. of seats too.How did he get this 600 Crores?By allocating the 2G spectrum waves to companies that are close to him[according to most of the dailies].U know how much?According to today's market, the companies should pay a sum of  2,29,000 Crores(approx). But our minister is like A King.He gave this contract to companies for a lesser amount. How much? For a price of around 12,000 Crores. When questioned on what basis,he gave for such a low price,he casually said,on a First Come First Serve Basis. Will he do the same to his own properties? This is govt property na,so none will ask.Hope now u guys might have understood from where that 600C came.

Elections are becoming a mockery in TN.If elections are announced in a particular constituency, then its festival time for the people of that particular constituency.Political parties will distribute money and will BUY votes. As per law,it is a crime.Who should take action?Election Commission.Ofcourse, the Chief Electoral Officer of TN,Mr.Naresh Gupta is doing his level best, but he cant do anything when his superiors hold is strong. The Chief Election Commissioner,Mr.Naveen Chawla is a Congress Loyalist[according to newspapers].The Shah Commission has clearly mentioned that Mr.Chawla is unfit to hold any govt post, that requires the official to be unbiased[that is he should not be a supporter of any party].Moreover, our ex CEC,Mr.Gopalasamy, recommended his dismissal. But the then law minister Mr.H.R.Baradwaj,clearly told his recommendation will not be considered at all and he has no right to do such recommendations.Let us see what article 324(5) says:

Election Commissioner or Regional Commissioner shall not be removed from office except on the recommendation of CEC.

The law says the above, but the law minister had said a different thing. So,as long as CEC remains blind to the activities of political parties, these cant be stopped.

Last, but not the least, nowadays a new department has involved in corruption. That is none other than citizens of Tamil Nadu.Yes only we are responsible for all these problems. We are selling our right. For Rs.500/- people are voting in favour of a party.According to close sources, now the market rate has increased. When the public itself becomes corrupt, how do u expect an honest govt?R u eligible to question ur leaders? In my honest opinion,u r not selling ur vote, instead u r selling ur self-respect and pride.Literally it is like begging only. The most disappointing info I got is that, even people who are Engineering graduates, got money and voted. This situation is nowhere in India.Only in TN the public itself started getting bribe.Am not pointing out any single political party. They will do anything for votes, but r v idiots?

Think...Try to be honest to the maximum possible extent.Ofcourse here nobody is perfect[including me].But,still we should try to be honest,if we start justifying our mistakes,we will never change and that might become a problem for ourself.I am not preaching or advising, but I too should give a finishing touch na,thats y.This is quite a lengthy post.Go thru this if and only if u r really interested.

Note: All the political and public information that is written above is not my imagination or my own news. These informations,I have collected purely from newspapers, magazines and from speeches of some real experts. My part is,I have just clubbed it and have typed here. So,I am not at all responsible if this hurts or points someone.
