Covaxin got WHO approval for Emergency use.After a long battle Covaxin got this approval.Remember how our Chinese slaves and bootlickers were mocking Covaxin? They said it is Gaumutra, it is not a real vaccine etc.Chattisgarh Congress CM even banned Covaxin in his state and was so proud of it.Here slaves and psychos in Tamil Nadu linked actor Vivek's death to Covaxin

There was even a campaign by a bunch of idiots not to take Covaxin.We also had cheerleaders of pfizer (Rahul Gandhi, Chetan Bhagat etc) who were constantly questioning the credibility of Covaxin... 

There's nothing wrong in choosing a product of our own choice. People have all the rights to prefer foreign product over Indian product, but, a strong campaign against the Indian products reminds me how traitors hailed foreign products and abused the Swadeshi products, before independence. Now you know why you people are called anti-nationals

Covaxin was projected as a BJP vaccine.Are scientists at Bharat Biotech BJP partymen?that much trust these morons have on Indian products and Indian scientists.Lot of people have taken Covishield, which is an approved vaccine and people like me never questioned the credibility of it.If you want to argue that a so and so product is bad, you need to understand the research behind it and should have some knowledge to interpret the data.These people belong to the same category who will preach rationalism and say how important science is, yet they lack common sense

Understand the politics behind delaying the approval Covaxin. Chinese vaccines like Sinopharm and Sinovac were approved immediately by WHO without much data... Later the Chinese officials themselves admitted these vaccines are ineffective. The pressure to allow pfizer in India did not have any impact and it's still not approved. There may be technical reasons for not allowing it, but that definitely influenced the WHO approval for Covaxin

Bharat Biotech has been providing data to WHO for almost 6 months, yet the approval was delayed. Finally, they approved it couple of days back. Bharat Biotech has not made any changes to its vaccine formula. It's the same vaccine for which approval was delayed for a long time. Our trust on Indian scientists and the government is vindicated

The Chinese bootlickers who call themselves as communists are still cheering for Chinese vaccines. Every communist, Congress and lieft wing liberal who spoke against the Indian vaccine should hang their heads in shame 

Rajni and politics

Rajni is again in the news, the reason is same, the age-old-political-entry stunt.. There memes doing rounds against Rajni thinking that he is a RSS man,BJP fellow etc.Well I don't agree with the statement that actors should not join politics. India is a democratic country and anyone can join politics. But, why am I criticizing or mocking Rajni?

He has been making political statements since 90s and some of them were hilarious. In 90s, 'Thamizh Naattil vedigundu kalaachaaram paravi vittadhu, Jayalalithaa aatchiku vandhaal Thamizh Naattai Aandavanaala kooda kaappatha mudiyadhu' etc.. Well, there is nothing wrong in making political statements too. Now we have twitter/facebook/whatsapp etc where almost everyone is a journalist, a critic. So there is nothing wrong in making statements too. But he used his fans for his personal gains. In 2004, I have witnessed Rajni fans campaigning against PMK and they were distributing the audio cassette with Rajni's speech. He will 'voice' out his support during elections and his fans will be doing all the field work. If you are not sure about your political ambitions, why do you involve your fans in such activities?

In 2004, he opposed PMK and gave a speech against the party and urged the people to defeat PMK. But PMK won all the 6 seats it contested. Rajni didn't have a face to acknowledge the defeat.He either underestimated the Tamil Nadu electorate or overestimated himself. How can a 45 minute speech make a difference in politics - which is fulled with caste,money,alcohol,biriyani,rowdyism,religion etc? I still remember that speech, it would end up like this 'nanbargalidam thanjam pugundhu vittadhaal, idhark mel vimarsikka manam varavillai' -  PMK was part of the DMK led alliance then, so (D)MK was Rajni's nanbar and he is not going harsh against PMK.. He thought, a 15 more mins of his speech would totally wipe out PMK. This clearly shows, Rajni has no idea about politics.

He released the first look of his 'Jaggubhai', exactly on the day of elections in the year 2004, posing himself as a Muslim. The moment, Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam objected to it, he dropped the project. I agree, cinema is a multi-crore business and none would like to face losses. But Rajni, cleverly used the mass media to his advantage. Had PMK not won those 6 seats, TMMK might not have objected Jaggubhai and Rajni might have ended up with another commercial blockbuster. There was a tagline in Jaggubhai - 'Iraivaa, nanbargalidamirundhu kaappaatru, pagaivargalai naan paarthu kolgiren'.Then something happened(heard one Saamiyaar mediated between Rajni and Ramadoss and they became friends. No, that was not Jayendrar).

So Rajni is someone, who did not have a face to meet the public, after a virtual defeat. He did not have the guts to field a candidate on behalf of him, against a party, that attacked his fans. He is someone who thinks his words are more than enough to influence the outcome of an election.He is someone who endorsed DMK-TMC in 96, defended the DMK govt during Coimbatore bomb blasts, offered a half hearted support to BJP in 2004. Before entering politics itself, he has switched sides :D If there is someone who has committed lot of political blunders, without being in politics, then it can only the Superstar Rajnikanth.

After 12 years, now again, he started it.

Jayalalithaa is no more, Kalaignar is inactive in politics, so Rajni thinks, he can try his luck again. Personally, I dont have a problem with Rajni's political entry. He can start a party or join any party, that's his wish. If his approach is convincing, he may be successful.

I am perfectly ok, with any actor, becoming a politician or CM. As if we have only true leaders in active politics. But the criticism against Rajni is valid and would continue for the reasons mentioned above. If Rajni really joins politics and his approach gives some hope that he would be better than the existing parties, we can appreciate him. As of now, I don't have any hopes on Rajni.

J Jayalalithaa - The Iron Lady of Tamil Nadu

A sitting CM, mass leader passed away. 'Amma' canteens functioned as usual. Not even a single stray incident of law and order reported. But the entire state cried for her. This is the best tribute for the #IronLady . There are many women in politics, but Jayalalithaa is still unique. She rose to power only because of her hardwork and remained a powerful force in politics due to her talent and charisma. MGR never announced her as his heir. Infact his wife Mrs.Janaki Ramachandran was made the CM by some 'so called MGR loyalists'. That govt lasted for just 2 weeks. All those loyalists are now either in dmk or has become their jalras. It was Jayalalithaa who united the party(Sasikala group helped her in that) and came to power. MGR's image helps ADMK, but then you need a credible face to cash in on that support. One may very well argue there were lot of negatives in Jaya's administration. Is there a govt without negatives? ADMK's rival DMK has proved itself to be worse than ADMK on numerous occasions. Be it Sarkaria or 2G, ADMK doesn't have such 'different' scandals to its name. . More than that, I can say there is none as bold as Jayalalithaa in TN(even in India). It was under Jaya's rule Veerappan was killed. Vijayakumar I.P.S paid respect to her today. An official, after retirement, still has respect towards a politician, that shows how much liberty he had while serving under her leadership. When Veeranam scheme was introduced, Kalaignar said, 'Veeranam thittam veenaana thittam', but the scheme was successfully implemented and that was one of the main reasons for ADMK's gains in Chennai. Rain water harvesting, cradle baby scheme, eradicating lottery, improving the power situation significantly etc are all achievements of Jayalalithaa. There is a perception that AIADMK is BJP's B team for obvious reasons(because it was led by Jaya). She was part of BJP alliance in 1998(only till 1999). Then she had an alliance with BJP during the 2004 Lok Sabha elections and that alliance ended soon after the elections. She has strongly opposed BJP on several issues(sometimes sensible and sometimes political). Yet her haters and rivals, never failed to project her as a BJP ally. Whether or not, she was in alliance with the national parties, she never gave up on the rights of Tamil Nadu when it comes for issues like Cauvery or Mullai Periyar. Didn't make any compromise for political reasons. Opposed GST citing valid reasons that TN would get affected. Never made stupid comments on national security for the sake of publicity and to prove her secular credentials. Truly a no-nonsense Chief Minister. While it is true that the ADMK govt could have handled the recent floods in a better way, one cannot deny that they handled Tsunami very well. The ministers had a fear of losing their post based on the complaints against them. Being a dravidian party, ADMK was never against any religion. They openly acknowledged their faith in God. Jayalalithaa would never come out without performing 'pooja'. Jayalalithaa had an option to withdraw the cases against her in 2001, but she faced all the cases legally and emerged victorious. So much of confidence. Her political opponents even pulled her saree in assembly, but she came back stronger. Had she been healthy, I am sure in 2019 she would have been a strong contender in national politics. It is too hard to digest the fact that she is no more and we will not be able to hear her 'makkalaal naan, makkalukkaagave naan' kind of one liners. The welfare schemes announced by her were very well implemented. Her achievements cannot be listed down in a single article. The 'Amma' of Tamil Nadu, would continue to live in the hearts of the common man forever. No wonder she is called as 'Iron Lady'.

Note ban : High Hopes and Nighmares

It has been almost 2 weeks since the Prime Minister of India made an announcement that Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes will be illegal tender. A lot has been spoken and written about the announcement since Nov 8th(the day on which he made the announcement). To be fair, this is the only topic of discussion among atleast 90% of Indians. This has pushed back all other news items like the issue of a missing student at Delhi JNU stone pelting in Kashmir by people demanding 'freedom', protests against the suicide of an ex-army veteran etc. What the people are saying actually? To what extent this has impacted the life of common man? Does this have any positive effects? With whatever I heard from people and read in media(kind of reliable), I am writing this post. I would also like to add this disclaimer before writing further "I don't have much knowledge in economics".

There are two types of reactions coming out for this move. The reactions started pouring in minutes after the Prime Minister made this announcement. Though a lot has been written and spoken about this, the reactions can be classified into just 2 categories - 1) This is a great move to fight corruption, terrorism and fake currency. 2)This is a foolish move and not a war against the corrupt but against the common man.

This is a huge announcement, no doubt about it. To maintain something secret in a country like India itself is an achievement. Modi has done well to maintain the secrecy such that even his own ministers were not aware of it. I don't take Kejriwal seriously, so don't refer to his allegations and argue with me. This news - Rs 91 lakh worth old notes found in Maharashtra BJP minister’s vehicle  only proves that the information did not leak. As a common man, I can applaud the intention of Mr.Modi. The argument that Modi did this expecting some monetary benefits or political gains doesn't hold water. He has actually risked his political career. We all know, majority of the bureaucrats are corrupt and hand in glove with the corrupt politicians. Traders has been traditional vote bank of Modi, especially diamond merchants and jewelers. This move is going to affect them severely. Because they are not standing in queue to exchange their Rs.500 and 1000 notes, don't think they are happy.

The rich(especially those who lend money for daily interest) are trying their best to convert their black money to white money. They are following different strategies like asking their laborers to deposit money into their account, get their money exchanged through poor people etc. We have to wait until December 30 to see what action will be taken against these people. The income tax department started sending notice to those depositing huge cash - news . Stone pelting and the so called freedom struggle has come to a halt in Kashmir. Crime rate has come down too. The reason is, it is money that decides many things. Due to the note ban and limitations in drawing currency, it has become difficult to hire people to carry out unlawful activities. To this extent its all good.

But is the announcement foolproof? While we are cheering about the corrupt getting punished(till now we only have news about money being seized or thrown away and no other action), we fail to see the difficulty of people who are dependent on 'cash'. Not everyone who are complaining about the note ban are anti nationals or black money hoarders. There is an India which is yet to see the digital world, so whenever the question of cash deficiency is raised, the immediate response like 'pay using cards, paytm, use your card' etc would sound arrogant. Let me tell a small example. I thought of going to salon today, to shave off my beard, but I have only limited number of lower denomination notes(and no higher denomination notes :D ), as I have no hopes of drawing money from ATM in the next 2 days too, I dropped the plan of going to salon. I bought a blade and shaved off my beard myself. Had I gone to salon, he would have charged me Rs.100 atleast. So, I have saved Rs.100. But the barber lost his business due to non availability of cash. This is what happening today.

Small traders are severely affected. Small hotels and messes, hawkers, road side shops etc are not getting customers as much as they used to regularly. People are reluctant to spend 'cash' and expecting roadside hawkers to have card swiping machine is too much. The problem is not with the announcement. I dont agree with the point that Modi should have given more time. But the problem is the govt was not prepared enough to handle the after effects of demonetization. If people don't spend cash, how would the circulation happen? There are Modi fans and haters and their arguments only seems to be win the arguments and satisfy their ego. The haters simply abuse the Prime Minister with comments that neither has decency nor has common sense and the fans(or the Modi bhakts) are projecting as if the entire nation is happy and none is suffering. Something similar to Sun tv showing as if Tamil Nadu is burning and Jaya Tv showing as if the state is like heaven and people are happy like never before.

If you think, the poor and lower middle class is completely against Modi for making this announcement, then I would say you haven't understood the reality. While taking a survey, only when we keep aside our pre-meditated opinion and political affinity, we will be able to get the clear picture. Ofcourse I didn't conduct any surveys based on any so called 'scientific methods'. But I have tried my best to understand what people belonging to different professions think about this demonetization. People who are facing emergency situations are literally abusing the Prime Minister. They are not ready to listen any explanation. But there are people, who depend on their day to day business for food, supporting Modi. They openly welcomed the move. This is what I heard from many - 'yes I am struggling, I am not able to meet my necessities. But without pain there is no gain. I am ready to face this. For the first time a Prime Minister is openly calling for a war against corruption, we are ready to support him, our only expectation is the corruption should come down and the nation should prosper'. And on the other hand, people who are impatient, also not rejecting this move completely though they are angry with the way this has been implemented. 'Why should I suffer sir? I am paying my tax properly. I am not allowed to use my own money. They have made an honest citizen like me to suffer but people like Janardhana Reddy are not affected at all. Let me see sir, how long this circus goes on.' and when I asked them, 'what if this move has a positive effect in due course of time', some replies were sarcastic smile and some were 'if I am proved wrong,I will be happy'.

Hope the trust of these innocent hard working people is restored and the Prime Minister stands by his word to punish the corrupt and eradicates the black market.

I thought about this. Are our people so kind to support a Prime Minister who has been painted a demon by the media for more than a decade? I discussed this with some people who has deep knowledge in politics. I was able to figure out a reason - people are frustrated with the system. They are not ready to believe the gimmicks of a desperate opposition. Their expectation is, even if this goes on for a while, at one point of time, it should produce the desired outcome. Real estate and educational institutions are the main reason for black market to flourish. That has made owning a home a distant dream for the poor and middle class.

Ever since Modi made this announcement, not a single politician has made a sensible comment on this. A desperate Arvind Kejriwal and Mamata Banerjee are visible in media more than Rahul Gandhi, a main leader of the principal opposition party - Congress. Kejriwal and Mamata wants a rollback of this decision. Will a rollback not result in more confusions? If someone is asking for a rollback desperately, I should only believe that they have loads of black money with them and are finding it difficult to get it exchanged. No wonder, Kejriwal is spreading lies daily.

 86% of the cash in circulation has become invalid overnight. There are some comments like the govt should have printed the new notes well in advance, they should have programmed the ATMs in advance etc. But these comments comes only from the common man, not from the politicians. The opposition parties are making insensitive comments like Modi made people as beggars. Comments like this would only increase the frustration against the opposition.

Not a single leader came up with statistics about how many ATMs are installed throughout the nation? How much cash transactions were made in these ATMs every day? Now how many ATMs are functioning properly? How much cash is being loaded into ATMs? How much cash is being withdrawn? Is the cash to population ratio being met? What are the steps taken by the govt to restore normalcy? The govt announced that you can get cash(upto Rs.2000) from petrol bunks by swiping your cards, but there are lot of challenges in that. The petrol bunks are not ready to give the cash for people who dont fill petrol in their bunks. Some petrol bunks claim they have tie up with private banks so they cannot use SBI swiping machines.  "Contacted, some fuel station proprietors argued that they have tie-ups only with private banks and so do not use a card swiping machine of SBI or other Nationalised banks. ‘’With limited currency available in our reserve, it is not feasible for us to tender cash to people who do not even purchase fuel,’’ a petrol pump owner said asking not to be quoted." - source - The New Indian Express . To what extent the micro ATMs and mobile ATMs has addressed the needs of people?

Instead of making a constructive criticism about this announcement, the opposition is behaving as if Modi has seized their entire wealth. Personally I feel, this is a welcome move , but Modi has overestimated his resources. With bank employees working hard all day and night to meet the requirements, the problem lies somewhere else. You cannot tax the bank employees too much. They are all human beings too. So, my point is, the govt should have been prepared enough with micro ATMs, mobile ATMs etc well in advance and then only made this announcement. Now that people are living with whatever inconvenience they have. If the restrictions on withdrawal continue even after 29th November, it will add up to the chaos and be difficult to manage, because on 30th is the Salary Day. Pensioners will suffer if the situation is not addressed at the earliest.

I am not asking for a rollback, I am not against making an overnight announcement, I am even ready to swallow the bitter pill, but it is the duty of the govt to ensure that the 'bitter pill' doesnt turn 'bitter meal'. If the demonetization produces the desired positive outcome, our standard of living will improve. If not, it would take lot of time to restore normalcy. 

Media's role in covering Rajiv Assassins case

We have been seeing lot of outrage demanding the Rajiv Gandhi killers release..mother of one of the convict, Perarivalan,is getting lot of media attention and naturally,there is a huge wave of sympathy for Perarivalan and other convicts.. 4 years ago, one Tamil director made a movie against capital punishment and wrot in facebook that 'Perarivalan's mother appreciated the movie Aravaan'. Now actor Sathyaraj,Vijay Sethupathi, director Ranjith(director of Attakathi,Madras,Kabali etc), have also joined this 'release Rajiv Gandhi convicts' chorus. So much support they have. Cleverly these people are playing victim card, thanks to Mr.P.Sadasivam for commuting their death sentence and successive central govts to keep their mercy petition pending for long.

Anyway this article has nothing to do with the legal side of this case.

I have a question, while the media and 'socially responsible' citizens and celebrities are so concerned about those who are undergoing life sentence, did they ever bother about 18 other innocent people who died on that fateful day along with Rajiv Gandhi.. Media can do a cover story about them right? Who knows, if we give statistics about the caste and religion of the people died in the bomb blast, they may do some cover story, provided, people belonging to 'some communities' and 'some religions' are in the list.

You have been constantly giving media coverage to Mrs.Arputham Ammal, why don't you ask about the trauma, the family of deceased underwent? Ask them, if their family was given any relief fund? If someone from the deceased policemen's family got job? How they all suffered on losing their loved ones. After all, they are also human beings right? I bet you, none will care about these innocent people.

After Rajiv Gandhi's death, some rationalist and pro-Tamil groups took processions hailing Dhanu. Infact, one rationalist leader openly said, 'atleast once let us celebrate the victory of Ravan over Ram'. Their rationalism is that Lord Ram never existed, but Ravan existed and he was a Dravidian. According to them Brahmins are Aryans, whereas Ravan, who was a Brahmin according to Ramayana, is a Dravidian. Lord Ram, who was a Kshatriya,is an Aryan according to the Dravidian ideology. Such an intelligent ideology it is. The media is so spineless here, that, still they are supporting LTTE and these Dravidian outfits, in the name of liberalism.

Only in India, all these moronic activities of celebrating terrorists and assassination of a former PM will happen.

And, expecting the media here to make a cover story, about the victims, is absolute stupidity. Sadly, the warriors, who have suddenly realized the value of life and are in a hurry to save the Rajiv Gandhi assassins, will also not spare a minute for the family of the deceased.

Though I don't buy the arguments of pro-Rajiv Gandhi assassins group, I am convinced that many who were responsible for the assassination are still roaming free. Mark my words, you can only find out who killed Rajiv Gandhi, you will never know why he was killed and who were behind the murder.

TN Elections 2016 - Opinion/Exit Polls and Reality

Right now the hot topic in television channels and social media is the recently concluded assembly elections for 4 states and a UT - Tamil Nadu,Kerala,Assam,West Bengal and Puducherry. This blog post has nothing to do with other states and only deals with Tamil Nadu. The TV channels has published some data in the name of exit polls and are predicting a comfortable come-back for DMK barring C Voter. Before getting into the details we should understand what does an 'exit poll' mean?

An election exit poll is a poll of voters taken immediately after they have exited the polling stations. Unlike an opinion poll, which asks for whom the voter plans to vote, or some similar formulation, an exit poll asks for whom the voter actually voted.

Carefully observe the data, they have published the exit poll results for 234 constituencies while the elections are completed only for 232 constituencies(Aravakurichi and Tanjore elections postponed to 23rd May). Even before the elections, these channels found out to whom people have voted for. This is really mindblowing. It seems time travel has become a reality now, that these channels went to future and got the data for all the 234 constituencies.

When you call what you publish is an exit poll, you should have proper evidences to back your claim. Does these channels have any such evidence? On what basis these channels have published this data? NDTV says ADMK will get 110 seats and DMK will get 109 seats. Does this even appear to be an exit poll? There is a common opinion that it is very difficult to predict the results this time and most of the constituencies will see a close fight between the major Dravidian parties. These channels have just utilized it to their advantage. By publishing such an exit poll data, they will get a very good viewership which would increase their TRP. This only reminds me a scene from an old movie. The hero will be sitting with disappointment, after trying his luck with lotteries. A small boy will collect the lottery tickets lying on road and our hero will say, 'hey these tickets are expired' and the boy will reply firmly 'I know sir, I am collecting these tickets after knowing that they are expired, others' laziness is what feeding me for a long time'. He is someone who makes money out of wastepaper.

One of these surveys is based on caste. Its something like people belonging to a so and so community would have voted for a so and so party.One can't insult the Indian electoral system and electorate more than this.

I predicted 160-190 seats for AIADMK before elections. As per the electoral arithmetic, the AIADMK has a larger vote share compared to DMK. So if it's a direct fight between DMK and ADMK, without a wave(pro or anti), naturally the AIADMK should win. There is anti-incumbency factor. Yes the TN Chief minister is battling out the anti-incumbency,no doubt about it. But the anti-incumbency is not so powerful to bring a change of govt. Moreover, only if the anti-AIADMK votes goes to DMK, it will be a setback for ADMK. At present, the DMK is not in a position to cash-in on the situation. Had the DMK been strong enough, they would not have come down to such an extent asking Vijayakanth to join their alliance and Kalaignar made that infamous 'fruit' comment. Vijayakanth made the DMK to wait for long and dumped them. This has reduced the morale of DMK cadre. Other parties that would play a role in the outcome of these elections - 3rd front(PWF), PMK, Naam Thamizhar Katchi and BJP. The expectation was that these entities will take away the anti-ADMK votes from DMK. That seems to have not happened.

In AIADMK, Jayalalithaa changed the candidates frequently. Well, Jayalalithaa is known for this and she doesn't even spare her ministers. I used to make a funny comment that ADMK ministry is like a football team, that every substitute will get a chance to play. So I was not at all surprised by Jayalalithaa's decision to change the candidates. Whereas, the DMK's case is totally different.

The DMK party workers themselves were not happy with some candidates and they wanted them to be changed. Incidents of violence were reported too.Being in such a vulnerable position, how can DMK emerge as a super power all of a sudden? Even in 2006, there was not much of anti-incumbency against the ADMK govt, but DMK came to power. In 2006,the Congress party was considerably strong enough to help the DMK win many seats.This time too, the DMK and Congress are fighting the elections together, whereas the Congress is not the same as it was in 2006, as Vasan broke up with Congress and EVKS Elangovan has weakened Congress as much as possible.

To be fair, democracy is much more powerful than what we all think,so had the voters thought somehow they should throw away the current govt, they would have voted en-masse to DMK. And only in that situation DMK can form a govt. The overall polling percentage in Tamil Nadu is 73.76%, which is less than 2011. The CEO Mr.Rajesh Lakhani says it may be due to change in voters list and we should also remember that 2 constituencies goes to polls only on 23rd May.So we can consider the overall polling percentage around 76%(approximately) which is still less than 2011 and slightly more than 2014 LS elections. Generally if the overall polling percentage is not so high, it is considered as advantage ruling party.

I am not a reporter or I didn't do any fieldwork to get these details. These are purely based on what the newspapers and news websites(which I trust) publish. Based on these details and the candidates list, I arrived at the figures 160-190. The DMK, which was written off before 3 months, is suddenly making headlines. Well I am not sure what they did in these 3 months to emerge victorious. The reason for mentioning this is, I am just a random blogger and I am able to provide reasons for arriving at this figure. Infact, I can also write my understanding about each constituency and who may win. I may or may not get it right. My predictions have failed in 2006(predicted an ADMK govt),2009(I predicted a BJP govt at centre and more seats to ADMK in TN) and in 2014 ( predicted more seats to NDA in TN and less no. of seats to BJP at national level). But when all these channels got it wrong in 2011, my prediction came true in 2011.

So this time, again, my prediction may or may not come true. But my point is, I predict based on some factors and observations, and I am no prodigy to get it right everytime.

But on what basis these channels publish the exit poll data? They were not able to give any convincing reason on how they arrived at these figures. Journalism at an all time low(well as usual). 

I am damn sure,even if any of these so called exit poll results come true, its pure co-incidence and these channels are giving random numbers too.

Consider a situation, 'its an India South Africa match, 4 balls remaining, South Africa need 7 runs to win with A B Devilliers on strike. If someone asks you, will India win, and if you answer no, it doesn't mean you want India to lose, it only means South Africa is going to win and you said this based on ABD's track record. This example is for people who don't know the difference between prediction and wish.

I am not sure if everything mentioned in the manifesto will be implemented, but if its implemented , there can only be two outcomes, either tax the salaried class or make TN bankrupt by the end of 5 years(assuming ADMK govt comes again)..

I am not sure if there is anything to appreciate in the election manifesto of ADMK..may be we can feel happy that there is no policy difference in handling the properties Hindu and minority religious bodies.. having said that, I see people who openly endorsed free color tvs opposing ADMK's freebies.. dear DMK boys, you started this and ADMK is taking it to next level..if you say this manifesto is bad,yours is bad too.. you people have gifted Katchatheevu and now promising to bring it back.. introduced liquor in TN and now speaking about prohibition..Even DMK promised 2 cents of land in 2006 when statistics proved that so much of land was not available at all :D and it seems only because of that DMK people involved in land grabbing activities.

DMK gave away free Televisions and made people buy set top box. Needless to say it was a monopoly during DMK rule and only SCV benefited because of it. If you have followed current affairs, you may be knowing how dangerous are the Maran brothers. So saying DMK is better than ADMK is nothing more than a joke.

Personally I am not a fan of this freebies politics, but this election manifesto will play a major role in the upcoming elections.. even in 2006 I dont think people elected DMK for color tv, it was the alliance that brought them back to power..even this time a divided opposition puts ADMK in driver's seat.. how this manifesto will increase the fortunes of ADMK? I have been hearing that in some constituencies the field work of ADMK party workers is not satisfactory.. with an election manifesto like this, the field work would gain momentum and that would increase the chances of an ADMK win..

Madrassa students attack and a twist in the tale

2 days before - in Delhi - 3 students, well, 3 Muslim students, were beaten up. Camera starts rolling, these students cry 'intolerance'. They openly alleged that they were beaten up for not chanting 'Bharat Mata ki Jai'. And an elderly man(not sure if he is a politician or some 'secular fellow'), starts blasting the culprits and accuses Narendra Modi for what has happened. He demands an apology from the Prime Minister. As usual, our peace-loving brainy journalists, started protesting against the incident, through their 'fiery tweets' and certified this an act of 'communal' intolerance. The same people, who abused 'Hindus' for communalizing the 'peaceful murder' of a dentist. Now there is a twist in the tale. After the police investigation, the students changed their statement and said they were not beaten up for not chanting 'Bharat Mata ki Jai'. They admitted that, they were not asked to chant anything but instead had gotten into an argument which escalated and a few blows were exchanged.

The apex court has rejected his appeal and upheld the death penalty awarded to Afzal in lower courts. While the Supreme court rejected Afzal's appeal against the High court order, it commuted Shaukat Hussain Guru's death sentence to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment and it acquitted S A R Gilani citing lack of evidence.

Afzal's defense, filed a plea which sought the review of his death sentence which was again dismissed by Supreme court in 2007 saying "there is no merit" in it. Coming back to Congress, Delhi government(Congress) dismissed his mercy petition in the year 2010. Mrs. Sheila Dikshit was the CM of Delhi then.

On 3rd February 2013, the honorable President of India, Mr.Pranab Mukherjee rejected Afzal Guru's mercy petition. As per my understanding, the home minister of India, should recommend the President to reject the mercy petition. It was again when your party was in power, his mercy petition was rejected and Sushil Kumar Shinde was the Home Minister then. He was hanged when your party was in power. His body was not handed over to his family. His family was not informed about the decision to hang Afzal prior to hanging. The Home Minister sent the information about Afzal's hanging through speed post to his family which reached them 2 days after hanging. Afzal Guru, in his last letter, wrote that he was not given enough time to write a detailed letter to his family.

Mr. Chidambaram, your party is responsible for executing Afzal Guru. You were the Home Minister of India for 4 years (2008 - 2012) and the mercy petition was pending before the President of India since 2006. 3 years after hanging Afzal Guru, making a statement like 'I was not the home minister when he was hanged' is just laughable and shows how much your party has been cornered.

Afzal Guru's death penalty was awarded by a trial court, then upheld by a High court, then by a Supreme court. The plea seeking review of the death sentence too was not successful. So Mr.Chidambaram, you mean to say that all these courts made a mistake by awarding death penalty to Afzal Guru? And you were not aware of the mercy petition pending before the President when you were Home minister? Or 'someone' stopped you from acting on the mercy petition? If so who is that 'someone'?

I can only say this is just a proof that the congress party will stoop down to any extent for gaining political mileage.

JNU, Freedom of expression, Patriotism, Communism and More..

The entire nation is concerned about what is happening in Delhi, especially the Delhi Jawaharlal Nehru University. Well, if people who are reading this blog say they are not bothered about what's happening in Delhi, I am sorry you are an alien and you are not living in India. Such is the reaction of the mainstream media and the social media to the recent developments in Delhi JNU. 

What has actually happened in Delhi JNU? The left wing students sought permission for organizing a cultural event in the university and the permission was granted too. In the name of cultural event, they started raising slogans against the hanging of Afzal Guru, man who was convicted for his involvement in Parliament bomb blasts. While protesting, they raised slogans like "Bharat there Tukde Honge"(meaning India will be broken into pieces), “Bharat Ki Barbadi tak Jang rahegi jang rehegi”( the fight will continue till India is destroyed), “Kashimire ki ajadi tak jang rahegi, jang rahegi,(the fight will continue till Kashmir is liberated)”, “India go back”, “Hum Lekar Rahenge Azadi Azadi, Azadi, (We will take freedom come what may)” “Pakistan zindabad”, “Kitne Afzal maroge ghar-ghar se Afzal niklega (Afzals will come out from every home)”. The right wing students union, ABVP (Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP)) objected to this act of left wing students and complained about this to the university authorities and the VC has ordered for an inquiry.A Bharatiya Janata Party MP Maheish Girri lodged a complaint against the “anti-constitutional and anti-national elements”  who participated in the demonstration. The police arrested Kanhaiya Kumar , the president of the left dominated JNU students union and charged him with sedition.

While taking this Kanhaiya Kumar to court, some lawyers  attacked him. A BJP MLA O P Sharma assaulted a communist leader outside the Patiala house court. Kumar was remanded to judicial custody till March 2 by a Delhi court.

This is what happened in JNU. Our media and journalists conveniently ignored so many things and they have given a wide coverage to O P Sharma and the lawyers who attacked Kanhaiya Kumar and some journalists. At any cost, violating law and carrying out physical attacks on anyone is unacceptable and its not an act of nationalism but an act of hooliganism/goondaism.  No doubt about it.  Delhi police is responsible for the law and order in Delhi and obviously they have to take up the responsibility for the attacks on the journalists and Kanhaiya Kumar. But is the entire issue restricted to this barbaric act alone? 

The left wing supporters are openly supporting the slogans raised in the event in the name of freedom of expression. While they are so sincere in calling the act of O P Sharma and lawyers as hooliganism, they have maintained a studied silence about the slogans raised in the event. They just keep repeating that freedom of speech/expression should not be crushed. My question is, why are you making such an incomplete statement? Just complete your statement like this - freedom to abuse the nation with slogans like 'India will be broken into pieces' should not be crushed.

The students union and the arrested guy claims they have full faith in Indian constitution and they don't need a certificate from RSS/BJP on patriotism. This is the problem with these left wingers, they are highly obsessed with RSS that they name them for everything that is happening in the country. They claim they have done no wrong. If that is the case, why did these people get permission in the name of cultural event? Should they have not mentioned that the event planned was against the hanging of Afzal Guru and it was also about demanding freedom for Kashmir in the permission requested?Why was that not mentioned?

Afzal Guru was hanged in the year 2013. He was given a fair trial from a special court to Supreme Court and it took 7 years for the successive presidents to reject his mercy petition. He was hanged when Congress was in power and Sushil Kumar Shinde was the home minister then. This was the statement he made last year about hanging Afzal Guru.

It has been 3 years since Afzal was hanged. What was the reason to organize an event against it now? Is there a way to bring him back alive? There is a difference between debating about capital punishment and a court judgement. Finally these people ended up blaming Pranab Mukherjee for rejecting Afzal's mercy petition. There is a poster doing rounds against Mr.Mukherjee and being circulated by left wingers and the poster makes an obvious reference to his caste.I don't really understand, in what way Hindutva/Brahminism/RSS is related to Afzal's hanging. Afzal was convicted by the honorable supreme court of India, his mercy petition was rejected by honorable president of India(who is from congress) and hanged during the congress rule which is against all these Hindutva/RSS etc. 

There is nothing wrong in suspecting the involvement of any terrorist/political outfit in a protest against something which happened 3 years ago and happened when a different govt was in power. The home minister said the event had Hafiz Saeed's 'support'. The media and left wingers/seculars/liberals immediately jumped into action and derived the conclusion that Rajnath Singh's statement was based on a fake twitter handle in the name of Hafiz Saeed. They are not ready to give the space for the authorities to complete the inquiry in this issue.

There was another student, Umar Khalid, who is now absconding was allegedly seen shouting those anti-India slogans in the presence of Kanhaiya Kumar. This Umar Khalid's father was part of the banned outfit - Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI). The man claims he dissociated himself from SIMI well before it became a banned outfit. But why is his son absconding?

The argument is that Kanhaiya Kumar was arrested because he was against the RSS/ABVP ideology. Are all the anti-RSS/BJP people being arrested? This fellow was a students union leader and the police claims they have valid proof against him to slap sedition charges. The left wing mouth pieces say the police has no proof against him. A video showing Kanhaiya Kumar shouting anti-national slogans has gone viral and it was aired in Times Now tv channel. All other television channels like India Today,AajTak,NDTV etc claims the video is fake and it was doctored one. They have gone to the extent of saying it was Arnab Goswami who doctored the video. 

Suddenly Arnab Goswami is being hailed as a nationalist by a section of people. The fact is Times Now's TRP is much higher than other channels. Times Now and Arnab are shrewd enough to understand the situation and cover the events in such a way that their TRP goes high. While all other channels were covering the JNU issue in same angle, Times Now just covered the other side of the coin. They were able to create a curiosity and people who believe that anti-national activities happened in JNU, preferred Times Now. Going against the popular opinion is a trick which will work out if handled well and it is working wonders for Times Now. Atleast I don't want to join the 'hail Arnab' chorus.

These left wingers and liberals speak so much about freedom of speech,freedom of expression, tolerance etc. But they are unable to tolerate Arnab Goswami and they wants the nation to boycott him. If Barkha Dutt has the right to tweet lies, if Rajdeep Sardesai has the right to distort the facts, if Sagarika Ghose has the right to abuse right wingers and if all this comes under the freedom of speech category, Times Now and Arnab has all the rights to cover JNU issue the way they wants.

According to these left wingers/communists/liberals/seculars slogans like 'the fight will continue till India is destroyed' should be allowed in the name of freedom of speech/expression, but Kamalesh Tiwari(a Hindu fanatic) should not be allowed to abuse Prophet Muhammad. This Kamalesh Tiwari was arrested by the police after they received a complaint against him for making these remarks. One month after he was arrested, a Muslim outfit organized protests against this Kamalesh Tiwari and Hindus were attacked and vehicles were burnt in the protests. This happened in Malda(West Bengal).

These people who wants the anti-India slogans to be allowed, didn't fight for Kamalesh Tiwari's freedom of speech. Infact, they were not satisfied with just the arrest of this Kamalesh Tiwari and except Z news, not a single media house reported about the Malda violence. The moment you ask why the Malda violence was not given importance, you will be branded a 'bhakt'. The bottomline is clear - if Hindus are killed/attacked, it should be tolerated and any statement against it will fetch you the title 'bhakt'.

Personally I don't approve Kamalesh Tiwari or his statements. Rightly the police arrested him for his moronic comments and I support strong punishment to this guy.

Coming back to Kanhaiya Kumar's arrest, his supporters claim the police doesn't have any proof against him. Further, the Delhi police is only going to show the doctored video as an evidence against the students union leader. You ask them how do they know all this? Ask them how did they conclude that the police has no evidence against Kanhaiya Kumar? You will get a response 'you are a bhakt'. 

If a students union leader was prepared to approve the anti-national slogans in the event organized by his union, he should be prepared enough to face the legal actions too. Let him prove his innocence in the court of law and go scot-free. There is another optio -, he should apologize for what has happened in the university and give in writing that he will not be part of such activities again. If he does that, then all the charges against him should be dropped and he should be let off.

The union HRD ministry has ordered that national flag should be hoisted in all the central universities. Immediate reactions in social media and left wingers - ask RSS to hoist national flag. How stupid? Ask them why did they raise anti-national slogans, they will ask you didn't Ghodse kill Gandhi? Don't get puzzled with the reply. Let me explain the Ghodse link - Ghodse belonged to RSS, Ghodse killed Gandhi ji, RSS is the parent organization of BJP, BJP is in power,so these JNU rebels are raising anti-national slogans to avenge Gandhi assassination now(because BJP came to power). 

Ghodse abused the RSS and left RSS in the mid of 1930s. He joined Hindu Maha Sabha. The court has given clean chit to RSS in the Gandhi assassination case and it was clearly proven that RSS had no part in Gandhi assassination. RSS was ideologically against Hindu Maha Sabha and both are different groups(I will write more about this later). Tell this to the left wingers and liberals who are supporting the JNU students, ' courts danced to the tune of Hindutva outfits. RSS bribed the court and judges. Hindu Maha Sabha, RSS, Shiv Sena, Ram Sene are all same. You bhakt, don't try to fool us' - you will get this reply.

These central universities are autonomous bodies. They could have very well objected to the idea of hoisting national flag, but they didn't. So calling it an order of HRD minister itself is wrong.

Central Universities are autonomous bodies established under Acts of Parliament and are governed by their Acts and Statutes and Ordinances made there under. Further, Central Universities are empowered to establish Departments with the recommendation of their statutory bodies and approval of University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Visitor. UGC has instructed all the universities including Central Universities located in non-Hindi speaking areas to establish Hindi Departments.

After the news of flag hoisting in central universities came out, liberals are unable to control their emotions and started branding this an act of Hindutva and demanded flag hoisting in RSS offices. RSS is a private organization, they are not funded by govt and there is no necessity for them to hoist national flags in their offices. It was RSS that drove away Portugese from Goa and hoisted the tri-color flag there. The then PM, Jawaharlal Nehru invited RSS to participate in the Republic Day parade too. This is about RSS. 

Is it such a crime to hoist national flag in universities? 

Shouting slogans like the fight will continue till India is destroyed,Pakistan zindabad etc is purely anti-national and supporting those who shouted these slogans are anti-nationals as well. If you endorse the idea of destroying India, how else should you be called? Knowing all these information, purposefully ignoring the anti-national slogans and speaking as if there is an undeclared emergency is equally wrong. Ask your inner conscience - should we condemn these anti-national slogans or not? If it says, no,then you are an anti-national as well. I don't bother being called a bhakt or a moron for writing this.

JNU protests against Afzal Guru hanging

Some students of JNU(Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi) organized an event on campus against the hanging of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru. They pasted posters inviting them to gather for a protest march against “judicial killing of Afzal Guru and Maqbool Bhatt” and in solidarity with “struggle of Kashmiri people for their democratic right to self determination”. Dear students Afzal Guru was hanged 3 years ago, what is that you are going to achieve by holding an event against it? you people sought permission for organizing a cultural event and cleverly you have not mentioned anything about Afzal Guru. Now the university has ordered an inquiry into the matter. Had the university not ordered an inquiry,someone would have wrote about it to HRD ministry and the minister office inturn,would have sought clarification from the university VC. Had something like that happened, by this time intellectuals/liberals/communists would have thrashed Smriti Zubin Irani and branded it a Hindutva move. Afzal Guru's guilt was proved in court. He was given a fair trial from a special court to Supreme Court and it took 7 years for the successive presidents to reject his mercy petition. After showing so much of tolerance only a terrorist can be hanged in India. It has been 3 years since he was hanged,I don't understand how the protests held against it can be a freedom of expression. By organizing and supporting such protests, the people who think they are liberals, are actually trying to create an impression that people belonging to a particular religion are being targeted, while statistics gives a different picture. I am damn sure the media will somehow link Smriti Irani in this issue and bring in Hindutva to defend such anti-national activities. But the university should not take this matter lightly. These students protested in front of RSS office against Rohith Vemula's suicide and abused Narendra Modi and provoked the police. Once the police assaulted them they played victim card with grand support of media and for no reason RSS was blamed. The intention of these people is to disturb the existing peaceful atmosphere in India. The university should take strict action against these people. If it doesn't, then the HRD ministry should step in and make it sure that these fellows are punished. Don't forget, Manmohan Singh was the PM when Afzal Guru was hanged.

ஒரு சிலர் திரு கருப்பையாவைக் கடுமையாக விமர்சிக்கிறார்கள். ஏதோ நான்கு ஆண்டுகள் அவர் பதவியை அனுபவித்து விட்டு, 'இப்போது' கட்சியை விமர்சனம் செய்வதாகக் கூறுகிறார்கள். இது தவறு. அவர் கடந்த ஓராண்டுக்கும் மேலாகவே கட்சியையும் சரி மேலோட்டமாக அரசியலையும் சரி விமர்சித்துக் கொண்டே தான் வந்துள்ளார். ஆக இது ஏதோ திடீரென அவர் எடுத்த நிலைப்பாடு என்பது போல அவரை விமர்சிப்பது சரியில்லை. அவர் கடந்த ஆண்டும் கூட சில தினமணியில் சில விரும்பத்தாகாத கட்டுரைகள்(அதாவது, பொதுவாக திக/திமுகவினர் தான் அது போன்ற கட்டுரைகள் எழுதுவார்கள்) எழுதினார். அப்போதே அவர் கட்சியிலிருந்து நீக்கப்படுவார் என்று எதிர்பார்த்தேன். அவர் நீக்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்றும் கூட நானே கருத்து தெரிவித்தேன்.

ஆனால் தமிழக முதல்வரோ, எஸ்.வீ.சேகர் போன்றவர்களை எப்படி பதவிகாலம் முடியும் தருவாயில் நீக்கினாரோ அது போலவே கருப்பையாவையும் நீக்கி இருக்கிறார். இந்த பழ.கருப்பையா, எஸ்.வீ.சேகர் போன்றவர்கள் எல்லாம் ஒரே ரகம் தான். இவர்கள் போகாத கட்சியில்லை. இந்த கருப்பையா ஸ்தாபன காங்கிரஸ் தொடங்கி அதிமுக வரை சில-பல கட்சிகளைப் பார்த்தவர் தான்.

இவர் முன்வைக்கும் முக்கியமான குற்றச்சாட்டு, கவுன்சிலர்கள் பணம் வாங்குகிறார்கள்,அமைச்சர்கள் அதிகார வர்க்கத்துடன் சேர்ந்து கொண்டு நாட்டையே சின்னாபின்னமாக்கிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள் என்பது தான். திரு கருப்பையாவின் இந்த குற்றச்சாட்டில் உண்மை இருக்கிறது. ஊழலைத் தடுக்க வேண்டியது ஆளும் கட்சியின் கடமை என்பதில் சந்தேகமில்லை. ஏன் அவர்கள் ஆட்சியில் ஊழல் இல்லையா? போன்ற கேள்விகள் ஊழலை நியாயப்படுத்தும் செயலாகத் தான் அமையுமே தவிர நியாயமான விமர்சனத்திற்கானப் பதிலாகாது.

இவ்வளவு துணிவாக பேசும் பழ.கருப்பையாவிடம் சில நியாயமான கேள்விகளை முன்வைத்துத் தான் ஆக வேண்டும். இன்று கட்சி தன்னை சரியாக நடத்தவில்லை என்றும் ஒரு எம்.எல்.ஏவாகத் தான் தோற்றுவிட்டதாகவும் கூறும் திரு கருப்பையா துறைமுகம் தொகுதியில் போட்டியிட எந்த அடிப்படையில் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டார்? தன்னைவிட மூத்தத் தலைவர்கள் பலர் கட்சியில் இருந்தும், தனக்கு முன்னரே கட்சியில் சேர்ந்து உழைத்து வாய்ப்புக்காகக் காத்திருக்கும் பலர் இருந்தும் இவருக்கு முன்னுரிமை அளிக்கப்பட்டது ஏன்? அன்று இந்தக் கேள்வியை இவர் கேட்கவில்லையே?

அமைச்சர் பணம் கேட்கிறார்,அதிகாரியுடன் சேர்ந்து கொண்டு அராஜகம் செய்கிறார்,கவுன்சிலர் பணம் கேட்கிறார் என்று குற்றச்சாட்டுக்களை முன்வைக்கும் திரு கருப்பையா, ஏன் இந்த விவரங்களைக் கட்சி தலைமையின் கவனத்திற்குக் கொண்டு செல்லவில்லை? சாதாரண தொண்டன் எழுதிய கடிதத்திற்கும் கூட அதிமுக தலைமையிடமிருந்து பதில் வருகிறது,கொடுக்கப்படும் புகாரின்மேல் நடவடிக்கையும் எடுக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. திரு.கருப்பையா அவ்வாறு ஏதேனும் முயற்சிகளை மேற்கொண்டாரா? 3 லட்சம் கேட்கும் கவுன்சிலர் மீது ஒரு வழக்கு தொடுத்திருக்கலாமே? ட்ராபிக் ராமசாமி கூட வழக்கு தொடுக்கும்போது இவ்வளவு தைரியமாகப் பேசும் கருப்பையா அதைச் செய்யாமல் விட்டதேனோ?

ஏதோ அதிமுகவிலிருந்து நீக்கப்பட்ட முதல் முக்கியஸ்தர் பழ.கருப்பையா தான் போன்றதொரு மாயை உருவாக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. 2014ஆம் ஆண்டு, ' மோடி அவர்களுடன் முதலமைச்சர் அம்மா அவர்களுக்கு நல்ல நட்பு உண்டு, ஆகையால் அவர் பாஜகவை ஆதரிக்கும் வாய்ப்புக்களே அதிகம்' என்று மலைச்சாமி I.A.S பேட்டி கொடுத்தார். கொடுத்த சில மணி நேரங்களிலேயே அவர் கட்சியின் அடிப்படை உறுப்பினர் உட்பட அனைத்து பொறுப்புகளில் இருந்தும் நீக்கப்பட்டார். இவரோ பல பேட்டிக்களில் கட்சியை மனம் போன போக்கில் கேலி செய்திருக்கிறார்.

இப்படி தினம்தோறும் பல கட்சிகளிலிருந்தும் பலர் நீக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர். அதிமுக என்பதால் அறிவிப்போடு அனைத்தும் முடிந்தது. திமுகவிலிருந்து குஷ்பூவை எவ்வாறு வெளியேறச் செய்தார்கள் என்பதை எளிதில் மறந்து விட முடியுமா? கொலைப்பழி சுமத்தித் தானே வைகோவை வெளியேறச் செய்தார்கள்?ஆகையால் பழ.கருப்பையா அதிமுகவிலிருந்து நீக்கப்பட்டது ஏதோ ஒரு அதிசயமான நிகழ்வு என்பது போல சித்தரிக்கப்படுவது பரபரப்புக்கு உதவலாமே தவிர உருப்படியாக எந்த ஒரு விளைவையும் ஏற்படுத்தாது.

இவரின் எதிர்பார்ப்புத் தான் என்ன? கட்சியைப் பற்றி இவர் எப்படிப் பேசினாலும், தலைமை அதனை சகித்துக் கொண்டு போக வேண்டும் என்பது தானா? அப்படிப்பட்ட ஒரு கட்சியும் இந்த நாட்டில் இருக்கிறது. ஆம்,அது பாஜக தான். அங்கே தான் யார் வேண்டுமானாலும் மனம் போன போக்கில் எதை வேண்டுமானாலும் பேசலாம். சத்ருகன் சின்ஹா முதல் அத்வானி வரை கட்சியையும், ஆட்சியையும், பிரதமரையும் இஷ்டம் போல் விமர்சிக்கலாம். அவர்கள் மீது எந்த நடவடிக்கையும் பாயாது என்று நம்பிக்கையோடு தொடர்ந்து செயல்படலாம்.காங்கிரஸ் கட்சிக் கூட நாட்டுக்கெதிராக கருத்துக் கூறுபவர்களையும் ஹிந்துக்களுக்கு எதிராக கருத்து தெரிவிப்பவர்களையும் தான் சகித்துக் கொள்ளுமே தவிர,கட்சித் தலைமையை விமர்சிப்பவர்களை அல்ல. ஆக இவரின் எதிர்பார்ப்புக்கேற்ற கட்சி பாஜக தான்.

ஆனால் திரு.கருப்பையா அங்கே செல்ல மாட்டார்.பாஜக என்றாலே ஒதுக்கி வைக்கத்தான் மதவாதத் தீட்டு ஒன்று இருக்கிறதே, போதாதா என்ன? இப்போது இந்த ஜனநாயகவாதி புதிதாகக் கையிலெடுத்திருப்பது மார்க்சிய சித்தாந்தங்களை. இன்று தந்தி தொலைக்காட்சியில் அருமையாகக் கூறினார், அதாவது நாட்டை ஆளுவது மோடி அல்ல என்றும் அடானி தான் என்றும் குறிப்பிட்டார். அப்படிக் குறிப்பிட்டதோடு நில்லாமல், இருப்பவனிடம் பிடுங்கினால் தான் என்ன தவறு என்று முத்து உதிர்த்திருக்கிறார்.

இவரின் பேச்சுக்களைக் கவனித்ததில், இவர் திமுக பக்கம் சாய்வதற்குத் தான் வாய்ப்புக்கள் அதிகம் என்று தோன்றுகிறது.திமுக பேச்சாளர் கண்ணதாசன் பழ.கருப்பையாவுக்கு ஜால்ரா அடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார்.. இதே பழ.கருப்பையா 6 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு 'தமிழ்த் தாய் வரமாட்டாள்' என்ற தலைப்பில் துக்ளக் மற்றும் தினமணியில் கட்டுரை எழுதினார். அந்த கட்டுரையில்  'ஈழத்தில் தமிழர்களை கொன்று குவித்து, கோவையில் என்ன கொண்டாட்டம் வேண்டி இருக்கிறது' என்று எழுதினார். மேலும் ஜெயா தொலைகாட்சியில் கலைஞரை கடுமையாக விமர்சித்தார். அப்போது ரவுடிகளால் தாக்கப்பட்டார். இந்த ரவுடிகளை ஏவி விட்டது திமுக தலைவர் கருணாநிதி தான் என்று பகிரங்கமாகக் கூறினார். அதற்கு, திமுக இன்று வரை மறுப்பு கூட தெரிவிக்கவில்லை. இன்று அந்த திமுகவினர் கட்சி நடத்துவதைப் பற்றியும் ஜனநாயகத்தைப் பற்றியும் பேசுகிறார்கள்.

இது ஏதோ பழ.கருப்பையா மீது வெறுப்பைக் கொட்டித் தீர்ப்பதற்காக எழுதப்பட்ட கட்டுரை என்று யாரும் நினைக்க வேண்டாம். எனக்கு அரசியல் கட்டுரைகள் எழுத ஆர்வம் ஏற்பட பழ.கருப்பையா அவர்களின் கட்டுரைகள் தான் காரணம். அதனை இங்கேயே நான் சில ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு தெரிவித்திருந்தேன். இன்றளவும் கூட, பழ.கருப்பையா மீது வைத்திருக்கும் மதிப்பில் துளி கூட குறையவில்லை. ஆனால் அவர் திமுகவில் இணைந்தால் அவருக்கு மரியாதை கொடுப்பதில் எந்த அர்த்தமும் இல்லை.

Scholar suicide at Hyderabad Central University and the Caste Card

So the warriors are at it again. "Dalit student committed suicide, HRD ministry is anti-dalit,it is not a suicide,its a cold blooded murder,Handwork of Hindutva forces,Modi should apologize etc" - these are all the comments of warriors and Arvind Kejriwal(s). I am not writing anything on my own, just sharing the information published by the same media, which is hellbent on accusing BJP govt and polarizing the issue. Yakub Memon,a terrorist,was hanged last year for his involvement in bomb blasts.His guilt was proven with proper facts and evidences. Please note,he was awarded death penalty and it was upheld by Supreme court,well before Narendra Modi​ became PM.

ABVP(Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad) and ASA(Ambedkar Students'Association) are 2 student unions in Hyderabad Central University(HCU) - ABVP is a Hindutva(Sangh Parivar),pro-BJP student wing and ASA is a Dalit union. ASA carried out protests against Yakub Memon's hanging. The ABVP objected to it. The case(or allegation) is that,some of the students belonging to ASA,physically assaulted ABVP President. When the ABVP lodged a complaint, the HCU has given clean chit to ASA..The ABVP has taken the issue to Bandaru Dattatreya(Union Minister of State for Labour) and the minister has written a letter to HRD Ministry, seeking its interference.

When a minister receives a complaint,what is he/she supposed to do?Seek an explanation. That is what the HRD Ministry did. The HCU has not responded to the letter sent by HRD ministry and they have sent 4 reminders to provide explanation on this issue. Then,the HCU suspended the 5 students of ASA. It is being said that Rohith Vemula,one among the 5 students who got suspended, committed suicide after this move of HCU.

What has caste got to do with this? Had they suspended them because they were Dalits,the argument of caste discrimination is valid.That was not the case.Accept it or not,Yakub Memon's guilt was proven beyond doubt with proper evidences and it was then he was hanged.As per law he is a criminal and holding protests against the lawful action taken against a criminal is anti-national indeed,especially using an educational institution's name. You can say hanging a terrorist is wrong,obviously,its your opinion and you have all rights to express it.You can express your opinion in facebook or even in streets,but as an individual not as a union using an institution's name.

It can be observed that this is a problem between 2 groups. Why is such a huge cry against HRD ministry's act of seeking explanation from the university?So according to media and intellectuals,if the complaint is against a Dalit union,it should be ignored.No explanation should be sought(note,the ministry has only sought explanation and reply from the university,it has not recommended any action or punishment).

What if the issue has been the other way? Say, the Dalit union writes to HRD ministry alleging caste discrimination. If the HRD fails to seek an explanation or to send reminders on the issue, will these intellectuals remain quiet?Will they not taunt the HRD ministry? Will they not go to the extent of abusing Smriti Zubin Irani​ ?Will there not be name calling? Isn't this hypocrisy? And The Hindu has come up with a cartoon suggesting that it was the society which is intolerant towards Dalits,has killed this student. Isn't it irresponsible? Is the media reporting the caste of every student who commits suicide for various reasons(excluding personal reasons)?. They will not, because only in certain cases, they can sensationalize the issue and gain TRPs.Their posts will go viral and their websites will more hits.

Personally, I can only sympathize with the student who committed suicide. The issue will die down in few weeks/months. Media will move on with TRP and publicity,some political group will gain some political mileage for sure and they will move on too,but the one who committed suicide is not going to come back. May his soul rest in peace.

பொன்மனச் செம்மல் எம்.ஜி.ஆர்

அன்றே சொன்னார்.. நாடோடி மன்னன் படத்தில் வரும் பாடல்வரி தான் இது.. 'என்னை நம்பாமல் கெட்டவர்கள் நிறைய பேர் உண்டு,நம்பி கேட்டவர் இன்று வரை இல்லை' என்று வசனம் பேசினார். தன் இறுதி நாட்களில் சரியாக பேச முடியாத நிலையிலும், நரிக்குறவர்களுக்கு வீடு கட்டித் தர வேண்டும் என்றார். அரசு நிதியில் சத்துணவு திட்டத்தை அமல்படுத்தினார்.  அண்ணா என் தலைவர் காமராஜர் என் வழிகாட்டி என்று சொன்னார்,சொன்ன சொல்படி நின்று காட்டினார். காமராஜர் கனவு கண்ட சத்துணவு திட்டத்தை அமல்படுத்தி வெற்றிகரமாக நடத்திக் காட்டினார். slate  தூக்கும் பிள்ளைகளை plate தூக்க வைத்துவிட்டார் எம்.ஜி.ஆர் என்று கேலி பேசியவர்கள் பிறகு அதில் ஒரு முட்டை,பிறகு இரண்டு முட்டை என்று திட்டத்தை விரிவாக்க முடிந்ததே தவிர அத்திட்டத்தை ரத்து செய்ய முடியவில்லை. உலக வங்கியால் பாராட்டப்பட்ட இத்திட்டாம் உலக வங்கியின் மாதிரி திட்டங்களில்(model scheme) ஒன்றாக இன்றளவும் உள்ளது.

108 திட்டத்தை தான் தான் அமல்படுத்தியவர் என்று இப்போது மார்தட்டிக் கொள்கிறவர்கள் மறக்கும்/மறைக்கும் விஷயம் என்றால் இத்திட்டத்தை எண்பதுகளிலேயே எம்.ஜி.ஆர் அறிமுகபடுத்தி விட்டார் என்பது தான்.பின்னர் வந்த திமுக அரசு அத்திட்டத்தை கிடப்பில் போட்டதே.

ஊழலற்ற நிர்வாகத்தைக் கொடுத்தார் என்பதற்காக அன்று திமுக-காங்கிரஸ் கூட்டாக இவர் ஆட்சியை கலைத்தார்களே. பாராளுமன்ற தேர்தலில் குறைவான இடங்களைப் பெற்றதால் எம்.ஜி.ஆர் வீழ்ந்தார் என்று நினைத்த தீய சக்திகளுக்கு,அடுத்து வந்த தேர்தலில் மக்கள் தக்க படம் புகட்டினார்களே. மக்களின் ஏகோபித்த ஆதரவுடன் மீண்டும் முதல்வரானாரே. 77இல் ஆட்சிக்கு வந்தவர் தன் கடைசி மூச்சு வரை முதல்வராகவே வாழ்ந்தார்.

இன்று தாழ்த்தப்பட்டவர்களுக்காக பாடுபடும் முகமாக தங்களைக் காட்டிக்கொள்ள நினைக்கும் கருணாநிதி,காங்கிரஸ் அன்று செய்ததென்ன? பாபு ஜெகஜீவன் ராம் பிரதமராவதைத் தடுக்கத் தானே நினைத்தனர். அவர் பிரதமராக எம்.ஜி.ஆர் தானே ஆதரவு தெரிவித்தார். தாழ்த்தப்பட்டவர் பிரதமராகக் கூடாது என்பதற்காகவே பெரும்பான்மையை நிரூபிக்க அவகாசமே கொடுக்காமல் பாராளுமன்றத்தைக் கலைத்தவர் அன்றைய காங்கிரஸ் ஆதரவு ஜனாதிபதி நீளம் சஞ்சீவ ரெட்டி.

சினிமாக்காரன் அரசாள கூடாது, சினிமா கவர்ச்சியை வைத்து மக்களை ஏமாற்றுகிறான் என்றெல்லாம் சொன்னார்களே? ஜாதிப் பெயரைச் சொல்லி மக்களை பிளவுபடுத்தும் அய்யோக்கியத்தனத்தைக் காட்டிலும் சினிமா கவர்ச்சி மூலம் ஆட்சிக்கு வந்தாலும் மக்களுக்காக பணியாற்றிய எம்.ஜி.ஆர் தானே உத்தமர்? இவர் ஆட்சியில் தானே ஜாதி சங்கங்கள் அழைத்துப் பேசப்பட்டன? மரங்களை வெட்டி மக்களை ஏமாற்ற முயன்றவர்கள் எம்.ஜி.ஆரின் முன் எடுபடாமல் தானே போனார்கள்.

கலியுகக் கர்ணன் என்ற அடைமொழியைப் பலரும் பயன்படுத்துகிறார்கள். எம்.ஜி.ஆருக்குத்தானே அந்த பட்டம் கச்சிதமாகப் பொருந்தும்? ஒரு முறை ஒரு காவல் துறை அதிகாரிக்கு எம்.ஜி.ஆர் தோட்டத்திலிருந்து அழைப்பு வந்தது.அதிகாரி பதறி அடித்துக் கொண்டு ஓடி வந்தார்." நீங்கள் இங்கே பணியிலிருப்பது தெரிந்தது. சென்ற முறை நீங்கள் மிகவும் விரும்பி சாப்பிட்ட கத்தரிக்காய் குழம்பு சமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. வாத்தியார் உடனே உங்களை நினைவுகூர்ந்து அழைத்து வரச்சொன்னார். சாப்பிடுங்கள்" - என்று தோட்டத்தில் இருப்பவர்கள் தகவல் கூறி உணவளித்தார்கள். தன் அதிகாரிகளையும் மக்களையும் மறக்காமல் நினைவில் வைத்துக் கொள்பவர் அல்லவோ உண்மையான தலைவர்?


வெள்ளம் பாதித்த போது தயங்காமல் மழை நீரில் இறங்கி ஆறுதல் கூறி உதவிகளைச் செய்தவர் எங்கள் எம்.ஜி.ஆர். 'ஐயா நீங்க இவ்வளவு தூரம் வரணமா?' என்று அன்போடு மக்கள் சொன்னார்களே,அது தானே எம்.ஜி.ஆர் தன் வாழ்நாளில் சம்பாதித்த மிகப்பெரிய சொத்து.

2015 வரை தமிழகத்தில் நக்சலைட்டு தொல்லைகள் இருந்ததில்லை. இப்போது கூடங்குளம் உதயகுமார் கட்சி தொடங்கப்போவதாக தகவல்கள் வருகின்றன,அதனால் 2015 வரை என்று வைத்துக் கொள்வோம். நக்சல் தொல்லை இல்லாமல் போனதற்கு காரணம் எம்.ஜி.ஆர் தானே? காவல் துறைக்கு முழு அதிகாரம் கொடுத்து நக்சல் தொல்லைகள் இல்லாதவாறு செய்தவர் எம்.ஜி.ஆர் அவர்கள் தான்.

இவர் தமிழர் அல்ல என்றார்கள்.ஆனால் இவர் தமிழர்களுக்கு செய்ததில் கால் பங்கு கூட இவரை மலையாளி என்று விமர்சித்தவர்கள் செய்ததில்லை. ஈழத் தமிழர்களுக்காக குரல் கொடுக்கும் பேர்வழி என்று ஏமாற்றும் போலிகளுக்கிடையே உணர்வு பூர்வமாக ஈழத் தமிழர்களுக்கு ஆதரவளித்து அவர்கள் பிரச்சினையை தீர்க்க நினைத்தார் எம்.ஜி.ஆர். ஆரம்பத்தில் விடுதலைப் புலிகளை ஆதரித்தவர், பிறகு அவர்களின் பாதை மாறவே அவர்களை ஆதரிப்பதை நிறுத்திக் கொண்டார்.அவர்களுக்கு எதிரான கடுமையான நிலைப்பாட்டையும் எடுத்தார்.

இவர் படங்கள் இப்போது வெளியானாலும் திரை அரங்குகளில் பெரும் கூட்டம் அலைமோதுகிறது. இதற்கு காரணம் அவரின் முகராசியும் அதிர்ஷ்டமும் மட்டுமல்ல.சினிமாவிலும் சரி பொது வாழ்விலும் சரி அவர் மக்களின் எதிர்பார்ப்புகளை சரியாக புரிந்து வைத்ததே அவரின் அசாத்திய வெற்றிக்குக் காரணம். பாரதிராஜா, அலைகள் ஓய்வதில்லை படத்தை போட்டுக் காட்டிய போது, எம்.ஜி.ஆர் 'இதற்கு இன்னொரு முடிவு(climax) வைத்திருப்பீர்களே?' என்று கேட்டதும் அசந்து போனார் பாரதிராஜா. ஏனென்றால் அவர் மற்றொரு முடிவு படமாக்கிய விஷயம் ஒருவருக்கும் தெரியாது.

இன்றும் பல கிராமங்களில் எம்.ஜி.ஆர் வாழ்ந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறார் என்று நினைக்கும் மக்கள் இருக்கத்தான் செய்கிறார்கள்.பிரச்சாரத்திற்கே செல்லாமல் ஒரு தலைவனால் வெற்றி பெற முடியுமென்றால் அது தானே உண்மையான மக்கள் செல்வாக்கு? ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட ஜாதியை அவதூறாகப் பேசுவதையே திராவிடத்தின் கொள்கை என்று அரசியல் செய்தவர்கள் மத்தியில் 'தாய் மூகாம்பிகையின் உருவில் என் தாயைக் காண்கிறேன்' என்று சொல்லி இந்த போலி பகுத்தறிவுவாதிகளின் வாயை அடித்தாரே. தான் பதவியில் இருந்த காலம் வரை எந்த ஒரு சமூகத்தையும் இழிவாகப் பேசாமல் அரசியல் செய்தாரே, தமிழகத்தில் அது எவ்வளவு பெரிய சாதனை?

அன்றே சொன்னார்.. நாடோடி மன்னன் படத்தில் வரும் பாடல்வரி தான் இது.. 'என்னை நம்பாமல் கெட்டவர்கள் நிறைய பேர் உண்டு,நம்பி கேட்டவர் இன்று வரை இல்லை' என்று வசனம் பேசினார். தன் இறுதி நாட்களில் சரியாக பேச முடியாத நிலையிலும், நரிக்குறவர்களுக்கு வீடு கட்டித் தர வேண்டும் என்றார். அரசு நிதியில் சத்துணவு திட்டத்தை அமல்படுத்தினார்.  அண்ணா என் தலைவர் காமராஜர் என் வழிகாட்டி என்று சொன்னார்,சொன்ன சொல்படி நின்று காட்டினார். காமராஜர் கனவு கண்ட சத்துணவு திட்டத்தை அமல்படுத்தி வெற்றிகரமாக நடத்திக் காட்டினார். slate  தூக்கும் பிள்ளைகளை plate தூக்க வைத்துவிட்டார் எம்.ஜி.ஆர் என்று கேலி பேசியவர்கள் பிறகு அதில் ஒரு முட்டை,பிறகு இரண்டு முட்டை என்று திட்டத்தை விரிவாக்க முடிந்ததே தவிர அத்திட்டத்தை ரத்து செய்ய முடியவில்லை. உலக வங்கியால் பாராட்டப்பட்ட இத்திட்டாம் உலக வங்கியின் மாதிரி திட்டங்களில்(model scheme) ஒன்றாக இன்றளவும் உள்ளது.

108 திட்டத்தை தான் தான் அமல்படுத்தியவர் என்று இப்போது மார்தட்டிக் கொள்கிறவர்கள் மறக்கும்/மறைக்கும் விஷயம் என்றால் இத்திட்டத்தை எண்பதுகளிலேயே எம்.ஜி.ஆர் அறிமுகபடுத்தி விட்டார் என்பது தான்.பின்னர் வந்த திமுக அரசு அத்திட்டத்தை கிடப்பில் போட்டதே.

ஊழலற்ற நிர்வாகத்தைக் கொடுத்தார் என்பதற்காக அன்று திமுக-காங்கிரஸ் கூட்டாக இவர் ஆட்சியை கலைத்தார்களே. பாராளுமன்ற தேர்தலில் குறைவான இடங்களைப் பெற்றதால் எம்.ஜி.ஆர் வீழ்ந்தார் என்று நினைத்த தீய சக்திகளுக்கு,அடுத்து வந்த தேர்தலில் மக்கள் தக்க படம் புகட்டினார்களே. மக்களின் ஏகோபித்த ஆதரவுடன் மீண்டும் முதல்வரானாரே. 77இல் ஆட்சிக்கு வந்தவர் தன் கடைசி மூச்சு வரை முதல்வராகவே வாழ்ந்தார்.

இன்று தாழ்த்தப்பட்டவர்களுக்காக பாடுபடும் முகமாக தங்களைக் காட்டிக்கொள்ள நினைக்கும் கருணாநிதி,காங்கிரஸ் அன்று செய்ததென்ன? பாபு ஜெகஜீவன் ராம் பிரதமராவதைத் தடுக்கத் தானே நினைத்தனர். அவர் பிரதமராக எம்.ஜி.ஆர் தானே ஆதரவு தெரிவித்தார். தாழ்த்தப்பட்டவர் பிரதமராகக் கூடாது என்பதற்காகவே பெரும்பான்மையை நிரூபிக்க அவகாசமே கொடுக்காமல் பாராளுமன்றத்தைக் கலைத்தவர் அன்றைய காங்கிரஸ் ஆதரவு ஜனாதிபதி நீளம் சஞ்சீவ ரெட்டி.

சினிமாக்காரன் அரசாள கூடாது, சினிமா கவர்ச்சியை வைத்து மக்களை ஏமாற்றுகிறான் என்றெல்லாம் சொன்னார்களே? ஜாதிப் பெயரைச் சொல்லி மக்களை பிளவுபடுத்தும் அய்யோக்கியத்தனத்தைக் காட்டிலும் சினிமா கவர்ச்சி மூலம் ஆட்சிக்கு வந்தாலும் மக்களுக்காக பணியாற்றிய எம்.ஜி.ஆர் தானே உத்தமர்? இவர் ஆட்சியில் தானே ஜாதி சங்கங்கள் அழைத்துப் பேசப்பட்டன? மரங்களை வெட்டி மக்களை ஏமாற்ற முயன்றவர்கள் எம்.ஜி.ஆரின் முன் எடுபடாமல் தானே போனார்கள்.

கலியுகக் கர்ணன் என்ற அடைமொழியைப் பலரும் பயன்படுத்துகிறார்கள். எம்.ஜி.ஆருக்குத்தானே அந்த பட்டம் கச்சிதமாகப் பொருந்தும்? ஒரு முறை ஒரு காவல் துறை அதிகாரிக்கு எம்.ஜி.ஆர் தோட்டத்திலிருந்து அழைப்பு வந்தது.அதிகாரி பதறி அடித்துக் கொண்டு ஓடி வந்தார்." நீங்கள் இங்கே பணியிலிருப்பது தெரிந்தது. சென்ற முறை நீங்கள் மிகவும் விரும்பி சாப்பிட்ட கத்தரிக்காய் குழம்பு சமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. வாத்தியார் உடனே உங்களை நினைவுகூர்ந்து அழைத்து வரச்சொன்னார். சாப்பிடுங்கள்" - என்று தோட்டத்தில் இருப்பவர்கள் தகவல் கூறி உணவளித்தார்கள். தன் அதிகாரிகளையும் மக்களையும் மறக்காமல் நினைவில் வைத்துக் கொள்பவர் அல்லவோ உண்மையான தலைவர்?

வெள்ளம் பாதித்த போது தயங்காமல் மழை நீரில் இறங்கி ஆறுதல் கூறி உதவிகளைச் செய்தவர் எங்கள் எம்.ஜி.ஆர். 'ஐயா நீங்க இவ்வளவு தூரம் வரணமா?' என்று அன்போடு மக்கள் சொன்னார்களே,அது தானே எம்.ஜி.ஆர் தன் வாழ்நாளில் சம்பாதித்த மிகப்பெரிய சொத்து.

2015 வரை தமிழகத்தில் நக்சலைட்டு தொல்லைகள் இருந்ததில்லை. இப்போது கூடங்குளம் உதயகுமார் கட்சி தொடங்கப்போவதாக தகவல்கள் வருகின்றன,அதனால் 2015 வரை என்று வைத்துக் கொள்வோம். நக்சல் தொல்லை இல்லாமல் போனதற்கு காரணம் எம்.ஜி.ஆர் தானே? காவல் துறைக்கு முழு அதிகாரம் கொடுத்து நக்சல் தொல்லைகள் இல்லாதவாறு செய்தவர் எம்.ஜி.ஆர் அவர்கள் தான்.

இவர் தமிழர் அல்ல என்றார்கள்.ஆனால் இவர் தமிழர்களுக்கு செய்ததில் கால் பங்கு கூட இவரை மலையாளி என்று விமர்சித்தவர்கள் செய்ததில்லை. ஈழத் தமிழர்களுக்காக குரல் கொடுக்கும் பேர்வழி என்று ஏமாற்றும் போலிகளுக்கிடையே உணர்வு பூர்வமாக ஈழத் தமிழர்களுக்கு ஆதரவளித்து அவர்கள் பிரச்சினையை தீர்க்க நினைத்தார் எம்.ஜி.ஆர். ஆரம்பத்தில் விடுதலைப் புலிகளை ஆதரித்தவர், பிறகு அவர்களின் பாதை மாறவே அவர்களை ஆதரிப்பதை நிறுத்திக் கொண்டார்.அவர்களுக்கு எதிரான கடுமையான நிலைப்பாட்டையும் எடுத்தார்.

இவர் படங்கள் இப்போது வெளியானாலும் திரை அரங்குகளில் பெரும் கூட்டம் அலைமோதுகிறது. இதற்கு காரணம் அவரின் முகராசியும் அதிர்ஷ்டமும் மட்டுமல்ல.சினிமாவிலும் சரி பொது வாழ்விலும் சரி அவர் மக்களின் எதிர்பார்ப்புகளை சரியாக புரிந்து வைத்ததே அவரின் அசாத்திய வெற்றிக்குக் காரணம். பாரதிராஜா, அலைகள் ஓய்வதில்லை படத்தை போட்டுக் காட்டிய போது, எம்.ஜி.ஆர் 'இதற்கு இன்னொரு முடிவு(climax) வைத்திருப்பீர்களே?' என்று கேட்டதும் அசந்து போனார் பாரதிராஜா. ஏனென்றால் அவர் மற்றொரு முடிவு படமாக்கிய விஷயம் ஒருவருக்கும் தெரியாது.

இன்றும் பல கிராமங்களில் எம்.ஜி.ஆர் வாழ்ந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறார் என்று நினைக்கும் மக்கள் இருக்கத்தான் செய்கிறார்கள்.பிரச்சாரத்திற்கே செல்லாமல் ஒரு தலைவனால் வெற்றி பெற முடியுமென்றால் அது தானே உண்மையான மக்கள் செல்வாக்கு? ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட ஜாதியை அவதூறாகப் பேசுவதையே திராவிடத்தின் கொள்கை என்று அரசியல் செய்தவர்கள் மத்தியில் 'தாய் மூகாம்பிகையின் உருவில் என் தாயைக் காண்கிறேன்' என்று சொல்லி இந்த போலி பகுத்தறிவுவாதிகளின் வாயை அடித்தாரே. தான் பதவியில் இருந்த காலம் வரை எந்த ஒரு சமூகத்தையும் இழிவாகப் பேசாமல் அரசியல் செய்தாரே, தமிழகத்தில் அது எவ்வளவு பெரிய சாதனை?

எம்.ஜி.ஆர் இன்னும் சில ஆண்டுகள் வாழ்ந்திருந்தால் ஜாதி அரசியல் தலைதூக்கி இருக்காது. தான் வாழ்ந்த கடைசி நொடி வரை மக்களைப் பற்றியே சிந்தித்த எம்.ஜி.ஆருக்காக எழுதப்பட்ட 'நீங்க நல்லா இருக்கணம் நாடு முன்னேற இந்த நாட்டிலுள்ள ஏழைகளின் வாழ்வு முன்னேற' என்ற பாடல் எத்தனை உண்மையானது?
